There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

Frontios. Wonderfully written and performed but so slow.

The War Games In prep for the coming week Regards mark687 I kinda wanna binge the whole Troughton era TBH. Will definitely try to rewatch some of my favorites before I get to BYG, at least. Hopefully.

Saw The Caves of Androzani for the second time ever. I afraid it doesn't live up to it's reputation in my opinion. The final scene was really great though.

Whilst away in Canada with my parents the past couple of weeks, I watched: Galaxy 4 The Time Monster part 6 (on it's 50th) The Tenth Planet The Faceless Ones (I'd just finished 'Time Flight' before we left, by coincidence flying to/from Heathrow, so I thought I might as well give Gatwick some attention to ) Arc Of Infinity (part 4 of which I'm watching now). Whilst I don't think I have a favourite either way, out of this & 'City Of Death'? I do at least appreciate this one for having at least *some* plot-relevant scenes happen on location, rather than just 'scenery porn' and running from one studio scene to another!

For the second time ever, I watched The Trial of a Time Lord. All 14 episodes, in one day.
The Mysterious Planet feels like Holmes on autopilot but is elevated by the trial segments with Baker and Jayston’s exchanges. Mindwarp is genuinely good and the logical endpoint of the brutality of Season 21 and 22. Terror of the Vervoids is alright but not memorable. The Ultimate Foe is good for the first 40 minutes or so, but then just kinda devolves into Pip and Jane-isms. Colin Baker absolutely carries all of the material though, good and bad.

It’s too hot to do anything, so I watched The War Games.

Re-watched Warriors Gate. I’m sorry, but I still think it’s the worst Doctor Who story, on tv at least.

TBF, I didn’t find it as bad as I remember, but I still struggled to wrap my head around most of it, especially the second half.

Vengeance on Varos. Not bad, but overly depressing at times.

The Ambassadors of Death - I love the line that Carrington says "Every astronaut is issued with an emergency code, only to be used in the ultimate emergency..." I love the way that John Abineri delivers that line. Happy Weekend folks

Re-watched Warriors Gate. I’m sorry, but I still think it’s the worst Doctor Who story, on tv at least. I think I enjoyed the audio-novelisation more than the TV story... but then, I like the original serial as well! I always like seeing strange perspectives - the description of how the Tharils experienced time was cool. If some day you ever want to take a third shot at it, that might your path to a more enjoyable experience!

I’ve have heard it’s a million times better than the tv version.
