Well I think that was one of the best human dramas BF have ever done.
It interesting because most of the protagonists are portrayed as people of conscience involved in an unconscionable act, so Tegen's modem moral objections and Nyssa's moral outrage prior and post event have less effect than excepted because they make assumptions. (in respect of one character's situation the whole audience are made to assume incorrectly.)
Davison dose great in a rare take of the Doctor as the outside but compassionate observer of events.
Brilliantly performed and paced, Jamie Anderson dose it again.
This is an almost essential buy IMO.

Not usually a fan of Paul Magrs writing but the positive comments here have me excited to hear this audio drama.

I find Paul Magr's output to be a mixed bag, but this was first-rate and surely one of the best Doctor Who historicals in any medium.

Have to agree with you TL- his 8th dr books were some of my most despised, but his BF output is some of the best, especially Wormery and Lady of Mercia.. can't wait to hear this.

Can't wait to hear this one. Liked Lady of Mercia. To be honest with you guys and girls, the fifth Doctor stories are the ones I look forward to the least. Love the people in them, but there were too many sequels to other stories, but with Last years 3 Mistfall to Entropy plague and this 3 being very strong he is working his way back up the list

Wow. Another outstanding MR release.
It doesn't pull any punches, either.

Heard it tonight & thought it a very strong interestingly paced audio drama with good performances, Mr Magrs has written a story of quality here & gave me two wonderful hours of enjoyment.

I haven't got this one yet but reading the feedback from you guys about the MR in general since episode 200, the stories do seem to be of pretty high quality.

I'm halfway through this now. I keep trying to discipline myself to listen to one episode per week, but that hasn't actually come to fruition ... ever! Not that Doctor Who isn't often jeopardy-lead, but there is a real sense of growing danger here; I've rarely heard the Fifth Doctor so frantic and eager to get his friends away from a situation. The fact that this is a 'pure' historical, and the aggressor is mankind, makes the danger very real, very relevant and very dangerous. So far, this is an excellent release (topping off an excellent trilogy) and I recommend it to anyone who hasn't yet bought it.
