They do don't they. That is a surprise. Looks like they're making it so that they're playing the characters in line with their current ages. so if Remembrance was set 25 years before broadcast, then I'm assuming the same gap. so this will be approximately 1991.
Is that the Klein UNIT era?

Odd, the trailer gives the impression it's just a few years out from Clean Sweep, but the cover alludes otherwise...

And it's Oracle-era Forge.
Forge versus Torchwood with Counter-Measures caught in the middle?

I don't know how much I'm allowed to say, but worth mentioning - Toby was born in 1900 so there's only so late in the century it can be!

I don't know how much I'm allowed to say, but worth mentioning - Toby was born in 1900 so there's only so late in the century it can be! From John Dorneys comment I would guess it's likely to be the 1970s In similar vein to 'the avengers' being 60s and then 'new avengers' being 70s Also going from the cover it looks to be inspired by the political regime change from Labour to Tory under Thatcher and the 1979 Winter Of Discontent. The storyline heavily involving political machinations would be indicated by the cover showing No 10 Downing Street. Also the 1970s would also cover a tidal change in trust of the government and the rise of political and conspiracy thrillers Eg All The Presidents Men The Parallax View The Three Days of the Condor In the US following the events of Watergate Then BBC TV series 'tinker tailor soldier spy'and then later British thrillers like 'Defence of the Realm'

The return of Counter Measures is one of my most anticipated releases this year. Was it David Richardson who said the previous releases were the black & white era of the show and these upcoming releases are the color episodes? Or something to that effect?

Like everything i do lol it is always out of order. So i decided to do counter measures back to front and start with the NEW COUNTER MEASURES first (as you cannot help but notice people are more negative about the make over) But I have found it a very engaging a classic spy story. You only need to know who the characters are from Remembrance of the Daleks . If i do not enjoy the rest well,i have the first four box sets to enjoy 😆
