We're starting the Quentin listenthru this week. One story a week.
That's
The Skin Walkers
Blood Dance
The Creeping Fog
London's Burning
Operation Victor
The Eternal Actress
The Darkest Shadow
The Haunted Refrain
I've put the thread up for The Skin Walkers already.

Without wishing to accidentally spoiler anyone about anything, do people want to do the CDs in that order...?

Whatever order we do it in, I am onboard as I have no knowledge what is the best way to do them. Thanks for asking.

Looks good to me...
And just wondering what are the plans after Quentin?

Trask Family? Tony and Cassandra? Stories where a person is at Windcliff?

The order looks good for me as well.
edit: just looked at the list again and realized it is presented in chronological order, not release. I vote for release order as well, but will go along with the majority.

Order of release sounds good to me.

I think release order and chronological order are probably similar enough that one couldn't go wrong either way? I thought that The Haunted Refrain comes before The Darkest Shadow though? As a matter of fact, since I'm not 100% sure of that, that's one more reason a listen-thru is a great idea. Personally I wouldn't mind if The Path of Fate were tacked onto the end of the list, either - not only because it has Quentin in it, but because I thought it was a riveting story. I could happily listen to that one on my own after the listen-thru if it doesn't make the list.

The Haunted Refrain comes after The Darkest Shadow, {Spoiler}it's how he got to where he was when the TV show introduces him in the present day timeframe (1969, episode 905). The Path of Fate has more of a focus on Angelique than it does Quentin, like how The Skin Walkers (the previous release and the current focus of the listen-thru) focuses on Quentin while Angelique is only present in the framing sequence to interact with Quentin there.

Trask Family? Tony and Cassandra? Stories where a person is at Windcliff? Well I vote for Tony & Cassandra since I just bought them and this would be the perfect excuse to listen.

I was trying to avoid mentioning which plays might be in a different chronological order to release order so as maximise surprises for new listeners.
Release order works for me.
At some point when I'm less full of cold (AGAIN) I'll work out what release order is and edit the post at the top of this thread to reflect release order.

We can sort out what people want to do. It's all open to suggestion/discussion - no one's running anything. But we did do a T&C listenthru on the last forum so people might want something else.

Well in that case I may have to do a personal listen through and back away from the group. (not sure if I will do T&C or 1973 after Quentin though). But my other biased suggestion would be those first 4 full casts since I bought those as well.

Would people like to do the pre-Bloodlust full casts next after Quentin then?
A story a week and then a disc of Kingdom of the Dead a week? We've never done those as a listenthru.

I'm completely new to DS and took advantage of the weekend sale. So based the Where to Start forum I vote for the 1973 arc next (the general recommendation to follow Bloodlust with).

I think this forum already did those just before Bloodlust. But I'd be happy to do them with you. We can have our own 1973 listen through.

Could you provide a link cause I can't find it?
I'm not sure how much I can do a week as I'm relatively new to Big Finish and am also going through the DW Main Range. I've just reached the trilogies, specifically 122. However given that DS stories are 1 hour each (the perfect length imo, I find the DWMR 2 hour stories too long a lot of the time) I'd be happy to do a listen through, but I feel like it should be more than just us two. Is there anyone else brand new to DS?
Also I notice that the stories are actually 1.25 hours each. Is that their actual length? Or are there behind the scenes as well?

I will let bobod chime in since he will know better than me when it was done and where the discussion is. I am not ready to do 1973 right away anyways. I want to catch up with Survivors first and I am also doing the Quentin ones with everyone else. But we can do it unofficially soon and if anyone wants to join us they can. I am sure we aren't the only ones who just bought the 1973 audios from this sale.

I'm in for the full casts, series 1 & 2 after Quentin. I'll do anything after that as well. If you need suggestions based on ones we have not covered, I can help with that because I've been crossing off the ones we've done since starting our group listen thru's.

Yes, I think even though some listenthrus were done on the old BF forum, we should still try to do 'new' story-runs that haven't been done as listenthrus before. There's not that many of us doing it anyway, so it seems a shame to repeat things and maybe lose people. I was a bit taken aback to have discussions about what to do after a listenthru only starting this week, but I suppose there's people who'll need to buy things in preparation. We've a couple of months of Quentin first but then a switch to the 'full casts' works for me.
