For those of you who haven't heard about it, Limetown is a podcast about the investigation of the disappearance of the 300 inhabitants of the research facility of that name. (It is fictional!) It debuted in July last year and its first season ran for 6 episodes. At present there is no real news of season 2, although they are spruiking for funds at the website (you can download the existing episodes for free), and as season 1 ends on a cliffhanger, it would be nice if season 2 came about.
The series has been compared in style to non-fiction investigative podcast Serial, and there's a conspiracy of some kind, so comparisons to The X-Files are made although it isn't a 'monster of the week' style like that show started out as. The nature of the show means it is probably easy to give spoilers by discussing details, but that you might not spoil anything because the makers of the show may be deliberately misdirecting the audience.
The website is Limetown although you can't download it from there. You can find it on iTunes and Soundcloud.
