Ive listened to the first episode and it is very good! A B&B owner and her mate investigate strange goings on in Whitby...
Whitby is a fab place, a lovely harbour and plenty of little shops to mooch about in. Plus great fish and chips, the spooky ruin of the Abbey above the town, Dracula's arrival point in England, and of course Whitby Jet jewellery and the annual Goth festival.

These were on the radio a few years ago, back in the days of BBC Radio 7. They are very good and definitely worth a listen though.

and don't forget the books either...I think there are 6 of them.....and audible has audio version of them as well as the Bafflegab original ones
I love them, very British, Victoria wood & Alan Bennett writing cosy seaside comic horror story is my best description.

There's a new collection of Brenda and Effie stories coming up later this year in book form as well, I believe

this is not the same as the bafflegab production? or is it?
i just finished listening to episode 3 our frank definitely not my cup of tea it just seemed like the only thing it had to offer was its eccentric characters in a rather ordinary setting the plot didnt seem like it was very important

Must admit this struggled to hold my attention. Felt like a supernatural Rouston Vasey without the jokes.
