The whole point of The Deadly Assassin was him trying to gain access to The Eye of Harmony... after being found nearly dead on Terserus. So that kind of shuts down the TVM -> Deadly Assassin theory. Also, the novelization of The Keeper of Traken can be interpreted to suggest that he first got the whole body stealing ability from the events of Keeper in the first place, which dovetails with Mastermind's wording on the death worm morphant only allowing him to survive in a viscous/gaseous form after 'death'. I'm convinced that Jago & Litefoot 11 is going to be post-TVM, with ancient mesmeric Master who can create thralls, turn into a mist, and drain the life from you inspiring Stoker's Dracula, as Bram's in at least one of the episodes of the set. Yeah i agree. I could maybe handwave the events of this audio as being pre-Traken, but with the potential promise of it being a simple bit of misdirection by the writer, we'll have to see. The upcoming J&L, i would be very surprised if it was pre-Traken too, very surprised. It would also be interesting if they have subtely formed a narrative for the Beevers Master where he meets the 5th, 6th and 7th Doctor in order over the coming months.

No, if you really want to throw the cat among the Pigeons, you put The Time Meddler, Dalek's Master Plan and The War Games before Terror of the Autons!!! No no, the Monk is a post-Pratt, pre-Tipple, post-McQueen, Pre-Beevers Master! and the War Chief is the Rani. Probably... (Am I the only one around here that misses Magnus at times like this?)

Not seen anyone else mention it but I got a real sci-fi version of Whistle Down The Wind from this with Beevers in the Alan Bates role.

Really enjoyed this, felt the relationship between The Master & the kids creepy & disturbing but the dragonfly aliens felt superfluous.

Incidentally, who voiced the Dragonmaster? I can't find it on the cast list.

Sadly, disappointing. Love Davison verses Beevers, but the script was very poor.

... but may I ask what you didn't like about the script/story Davison doesn't do anything in part one, and very little in part two. In all fairness, a lot of classic Doctor Who (especially in the 1960's) didn't have the Doctor do much in one episode or another, (for whatever reason), that by itself doesn't neccessarily make a story bad. So there has to be other reasons surely?

A moderate reaction of disappointment, and the fact that you've actually listened to a recent BF
May I ask what prompted this turn of events?

So there has to be other reasons surely? This isn't the 1960's, where you had an ageing actor in the lead, working his arse off on tv. And, even in the 1980's which Davison was a part of, you'de expect more of him. Four cds a year isn't asking much! One buys BF DW audio because you expect the lead to be in the episodes!

Its not a turn of events! On occasions I've had a 12 month subscription, but they are hit and (many) miss! I've bought BF in the long past, and some in the recent past. Unfortunately, BF stories aren't much to shout about. Their recent record is pretty poor.

You disagree? How many of the 13 per year, have been excellent, or mediocre?
