The Lurking Fear now available for pre-order! What's the big plastic sleeve? The H P Lovecraft Historical Society includes some props with their physical releases, and there have been issues with how many - sometimes it's hard to pack them back into the CD case. Fans had asked them for an alternative solution, so they've released a binder to hold them. If people choose to purchase the binder, it comes with sleeves and an insert for each of the stories prior to The Masks of Nyarlathotep (the first release to include props pre-packed in a sleeve).

The Lurking Fear goes into the studio today. Apparently the recording of this and the next release (title not yet announced) will be completed by Friday! Then the post-production starts...

Current update - "Editing a few pickups into the Lurking Fear and polishing the sound design." So it sounds close...

Just out of curiosity, have you revisited The Masks of Nyarlathotep audio and was it worth the long wait?

Just out of curiosity, have you revisited The Masks of Nyarlathotep audio and was it worth the long wait? I've only heard Masks the once so far. I have a vague plan to listen to all of the DART releases in the not too distant future. I'll hear Masks again as part of that.

Latest update on The Lurking Fear... "Massaging the music for The Lurking Fear. It won't be long now..." A guesstimated release date is approximately 2 weeks time.

The Lurking Fear has been released in download form. From the Dark Adventures Radio Theatre Facebook page... "OK folks, the audio for The Lurking Fear has gone live. If you preordered, you probably have or will shortly receive email from us about it. Enjoy!" According to earlier posts, they normally have their CDs ready to go approximately a week after the audio is finalised, so if you've pre-ordered it on CD, a week plus delivery time. If you want it but haven't ordered it yet, it's here!

So they aren't stopping there - the next DART release will be Mad Science, an anthology release of four stories written by Lovecraft or by Lovecraft in vollaboration with another writer. It is intended to be released on 20 August (Lovecraft's birthday) - physical copies will be accompanied by four props, with a bonus prop for those that are pre-ordered. Previous anthology release have been A Christmas Solstice and Bad Medicine.

News:
The Lurking Fear CDs and props are being posted.
Bad Science is being scored (the dialogue was previously recorded with The Lurking Fear sessions...), so it's a fair way through the post-production process.

My copy of The Lurking Fear has arrived - as I'm in Australia, that should mean it should have arrived elsewhere or will in the next few days.

So I've noticed that the first 19 of these releases, At the Mountains of Madness to Bad Medicine seem to be available on Audible in the USA. Does anyone know if future releases would be available? I may have to get some of these finally as they're quite cheap for members

Everything from The Colour Out of Space to A Solstice Carol. They're doing pretty well considering the wealth of competition. So many mountains, so much madness... I got to admit, I fell off the wagon a while ago due to other things, but does anyone have any recommendations from what they've already heard?

Not sure what you've heard as you "fell of the wagon a while ago", but I'd generally recommend The Shadows Over Innsmouth and At the Mountains of Madness as good starting points for Lovecraft in general, as both start outside of the situation and work their way in. But both were adapted early by the HPLHS, so you may have heard them

The music for the Bad Medicine release is finalised, so the story collection is quite some way through the post-production process.

And next thing I know, after being away from home for a few hours, I see a post saying that it's finished and been sent to the CD replicator. Release information imminent!
