Already had this title in my ohone ready to start listening to amd thought that, all things considered, today was an appropriate time to start my listen through.
Two episodes in, but I'm afraid I can't put my thoughts about it in order.

A couple of questions 1. Would it be possible to collect all of the group listen through threads into one sub board like the timeline section 2. Would it be possible to have a certain way we name the threads are named(sorry if this is annoying, just a case of OCD, hope this doesn't upset you brians because I appreciate you starting the thread.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. Good idea - I deliberately titled it the other way round to Marian Conspiracy thinking if they all started with Group Listen then they would be easier to find, but a sub-forum would be much better and would mean we didn't need such complicated headers.

I am so glad you understand what I was saying. I hoped I didn't sound rude? But yes, a sub-forum would be great to keep track of everything.

The moderators don't believe that a sub forum is necessary. But the naming of threads is a great idea. I like the following the Storm Warning example by putting Group Listen first is the way to go. It allows the thread to stand out.

Working through it right now. Such a great start to Eight's Big Finish adventures.

Fantastic debut story for the Eighth Doctor, Paul McGann is simply terrific as is India Fisher as Charley while the late Gareth Thomas gives a gritty rich performance as Lord Tamworth.

What a Perfect way to start the 8th Doctor on Audio, works so well. There's an instant spark between 8 and Charley. Just works on all levels for me

I got started listening on the way home from work. Love hearing Gareth Thomas as Lord Tamworth.

One of the things that strikes me about this story is how instantly Paul McGann is the Doctor again. When you listen to Sirens of Time you can hear the Doctors warming back up to their roles. They aren't botching it by any means, just getting back into the swing of the role again after many years away. McGann, though, is letter perfect right from the start. It's as if he stepped off the set of the TV movie and into the Big Finish recording studio.

When I listened to Storm Warning the first time, it was my first BF release with McGann. Previously, I'd seen the TV Movie, had read lots of the novels, and had listened to one unimpressive audio adventure from the BBC.*
Although I had a feel for the 8th Doctor as presented in the novels, I really didn't know what to expect at all from his performance. So it will be interesting on a re-listen to see how it holds up to my recollections.
* On cassette, which should tell you how old it was.

Cassette, Cassette?, audio on tape...it'll never catch on lol. Add the hovis bread theme to this post

I've got a backlog of other stories to listen to so I probably won't be joining in, but I did listen to the first episode last week, and yes McGann really does step straight back into his perfectly fitting shoes as the Doctor (though the opening where he is talking to himself in the Tardis does sound kinda awkward) it feels like no time had passed since the TV Movie, though i.m.o you can also see the influence of the BBC EDA's on how McGann's Doctor was written in those early audios (scatterbrained, highly moral, an almost disarming charm, slighty childish disposition, easily distracted etc), he had instant chemistry with India Fisher as Charley which helped.
Storm Warning is rough around the edges and a tad overlong, but it's wonderfully atmospheric and a solid debut story, very reflective of the idealistic charmer that 8 was in his early years.
