I think we'll get a box of three stories a year to begin with. Agreed, the 3 story per boxset format keeps costs down for BF and is easy to schedule, it still offers reasonable value for money and variety for listeners (though I hope they don't use Tennant's popularity as an excuse to make every 10DA boxset a limited edition...) and makes it seem more of an event than 8 discs per year like the Classic Doctors. That said, I can certainly see Hurt and Tennant going the T Baker route and scheduling a few weeks in their busy schedules every year or two to record and 'bank' several years worth of storylines in one go (the only potential problem might be scheduling the other companions). I will be very dissapointed if BF don't consider bringing Wilf back for more stories. Assuming Tennant still has the time to do the audios, I can see the 10DA transitioning to a single disc monthly range in six or seven years for new companions, keeping the box set format for the TV companions. I wonder if BF will consider adapting the New Who 'Lost Stories'?

Personally, I'd love a box set where the Doctor somehow loses the TARDIS and finds himself stranded on Earth again to allow him to spend all three stories with Wilf without messing up continuity (The End of Time clearly being the first time he sets foot in the TARDIS).

I didn’t want to start a new thread just to ask a stupid question. I see the pre order prices for this box set, but what will it be when it comes out? It's just a couple of days I think. It should be the same? I usually don't jump on new sets.

David won't let us down, he will do all he can....might not be 12 a year but he will be there for the next 10 years He is one of us, just with a cooler job. Wouldn't it be cool if he was checking us out on here! Or even better joined our clan! It would be cool if he was checking us out here but I don't see that happening. He doesn't even do his own social media accounts.

Hard to believe that this time tomorrow we'll be listening to Donna Noble being perfect. And Ten also I guess.

Yep, it's dreadful to live in Australia and often be most of the way through the release date before the item is actually available online. Which it is still not.

New Zealand actually, but same problems. For bigger items postage is a lot more expensive. With the discounted Benny books the postage costs more than the book itself! Of course there is the advantage that while the people in the UK are hopefully sleeping we can download with less worry about the server being overloaded. I bet that this will be hugely taxing on the servers, the announcement sure crashed the site!

But in antipodean solidarity, I'm in favour of using New Zealand time to determine when the day of release starts and hence the download should be available. And yes, I recently completed my Benny book collection so I'm familiar with the postage issue!

I started Death and the Queen the moment I downloaded because I was looking forward to it so much. Donna is written so perfectly here. Donna and Rudolph are adorable.
