But yay for the bonus DVD... er.. soundcloud... extra!
I'd forgotten about that scene completely so its exclusion is arguably justified as it clearly wasn't necessary to the plot, but... What defines necessary after all?
And frankly the fanboy in me is cock-a-hoop that it exists.

Can someone who's seen more of the show than I inform me of who that was?EDIT: Nevermind, couldn't hear her properly. Used some headphones and all became clear

Good fun!!! And who is the actress? Listened a couple times to see if I could figure it out, but no luck!

I believe it's Natalie Britton who also played the Storm Elemental.

Noticed that 'B&F" had NO reviews on Amazon.com ... so I added mine tonight!

It's amazing isn't it? I'm very aware of the work that went into it and it pays off amazingly. I hope it makes Sunday worthwhile and giddy and celebratory (not a feeling i normally associate with Sunday)!

I just noticed by the way that very few of the releases have reviews on Amazon so can I be really naughty and suggest that a couple more wouldn't go amiss? I'd obviously avoid doing so due to vested interests but maybe a couple from you guys wouldn't be a bad thing? Don't do 5/5s reviews across the board, though (even though obviously you'd automatically want to ). Do say what you actually think, be critical. Nothing smells more than total praise! And the writers and actors can take it. Well... I hope we can.

And the writers and actors can take it. Well... I hope we can. I'll think about reviewing Big Finish on Amazon. I never do because I never buy on Amazon and I always try to encourage people to buy directly from Big Finish (not that it always works) so I never think to leave reviews there. When I really love something I try to tweet or post on here of course, though I know on here it's limited to people who already love Big Finish. Though I tend not to leave constructive criticism on Amazon. My reviews there are more to say you should or shouldn't buy the product. Note: People can also leave reviews on Good Reads & **********

Do say what you actually think, be critical. Nothing smells more than total praise! Hmmm... I said what I actually think and it was total praise. I'm afraid if the writers and producers want criticism, they're going to have to earn some. None is due for Blood & Fire that I know of.

Absolutely, I don't mean you shouldn't, I just mean that I as a person tend not to trust something which gets nothing but top reviews. I'm a suspicious sod and assume the friends and family of the writer/performer/developer were jumping in. (And again, I've just realised that viewpoint is one of many reasons my head is a very scary place to be.) I'd forgotten about Goodreads. Someone else recommended that to me the other day.

Okay. I was late in listening to Part 4.
Amazing!
To me this is the essential Dark Shadows through and through. Bloodlust was great and I am looking forward to Bloodline.
For a 50th celebration. . Kudos to one and all.
And with that I close with....
She's back!

Bloodlust was an amazing production. I remember having some moments that I was a little leery of, and was so happy to have these doubts disproved. While I am saddened that Bloodline has been delayed, I can only imagine the hard work that goes into what seems like magic with each and every Big Finish audio adventure. I'm sure that after Bloodlust, they want to ensure that they do their best with every and not get rushed.

Remember if you liked Blood & Fire (and Panic) that much that Roy Gill has two otherworldy novels out - in print, ebook and audiobook form. roygill.wordpress.com/

Wonderful that Blood & Fire was nominated for a scribe. It was such a cleverly-written tale that really effectively worked the narrative economically. I felt there was a great balance of character moments and plot-related moments. I felt listeners were able to enjoy both the old and new, original series and Big Finish returners, with or without character knowledge.
Plus, looking at the Scribe Awards, it's great to see Joe as a writer for Torchwood and his efforts producing Blood & Fire and the complex transcontinental recording process.
