According to a post over on the Horizon boards, a full cast series is being worked on at the moment. I hope that's accurate. Worked on as in recording or being written I wonder

I'd love for them to do another Series 3 run, and just have as the running gag, every time Dayna goes to say something, she's interrupted. "Do we stay and fight or try and run?" "How is that even a question?" "Thank you Vila, I already assumed your vote. Avon?" "I don't believe in throwing away anything of value. Such as my life" "Fair point. Dayna?" BOOM BOOOM BOOOOOMMM. "So were agreed. We run... wait, where's Vila?" "Half way over the hil already"

The ending is strong and iconic - but it was never meant to be the series finale, only a season finale. They intentionally used a different weapon on Blake than the others so that while Blake was meant to be dead, everyone else was supposed to live to continue on for the next season. So I'd have no problems with moving on past the finale (which Lucifer has done anyways). I always wanted to see Avon meet one of Cally's clone sisters after her death, it just seems like an interesting possibility, although of course the clone could have a completely different personality. That could be done in a one off story or short arc set in the last tv season era, but it could also be a way to bring a Cally back to the series post finale. I'm just getting to know the OS after having been recently introduced to the series by Big Finish and have actually have about six more episodes left until Blake, but I can't imagine what lies ahead that would be so iconic that I wouldn't wish B7 came back for a fifth season, whatever that might have involved to get that far. Also, going through four seasons in relatively rapid order, it's something that really stands out that the series re-invented itself as it seemed necessary, whether I actually prefer any particular development (such as sacrilegiously getting rid of The Liberator herself) or not. I'm not sure why Big Finish shouldn't be entitled to take things from that point and do the same if they achieve licensing to do so - other than that I think it would be better to provide opportunities for returning original cast in any post-series 4 stories than to add all new faces. I'm sure I'm probably going to be very tempted to take any post-series Lucifer stories to be canon as much as possible when I get to them also. Being they are written and told by "Avon Himself," that will want to carry some weight with me if it can. (Of course, I'm from Collinwood, and nobody stays dead for long in Collinwood. Cally coming back as her clone sounds just as good to to me as anyone from Dark Shadows coming back as their own twin). Anyway, I hope there'll be more B7 details coming soon - this is the first time I've been looking forward at the series, and am very much looking forward to more.

Well, the thing is reinventing the show post Blake would be a BIG reinvention, a very big one. You'll see when you get to it.

I see what you mean - but it's still hardly anything that couldn't be salvaged with the odd clone and a double-cross or two, IMHO. In fact, it almost begs for it since that must have been the most unsatisfactory ending imaginable (other than I could swear the very last thing I heard must have been Avon doing exactly what I would hope he'd do, which might be additional incentive to look forward). I'd also have absolutely nothing against pre-GP audios with Dayna and Soolin.

See how that works and go from there.

One of the "problems" I had with B7 was the real lack of a coherent resistance to the Federation beyond individual worlds defending themselves or what have you. Yes, it looked like Avon was heading that way with the Warlords at the end of Series D but most of the time it really did seem to be just the gang showing up and doing their thing. Okay, there was Grant and his mercenaries, and Cally's people up to a point but...the galaxy isn't a country, the Federation can't be on every street corner, so where is the actual resistance?

Exactly, any post-GP story should be about the Avon Resistance a la Rogue One. IF you feel the need to have one of Blake's group turn up - Vila.

Here's something I posted over on Gallifrey base, in the Blake's 7 at Big Finish thread:
