I think the eighth doctor time war prequel set is an interesting gambit and goves a potential future range if John Hurt isn't available for any more war doctor sets beyond the planned four. This. The upcoming Eighth Doctor: Time War boxset will most certainly conclude in such a way as to allow for more Time War-era stories with Eight in case Hurt decides not to continue. I seem to remember someone from BF (probably Nick Briggs) telling a listener that they like to keep things "open-ended" in response to a question about whether we would hear Eight preparing to rescue Cass.

In addition to the continuation of the existing ranges (River, New Monsters, UNIT, Tenth Doctor, etc), I would love to see:
The Obvious Ones: A Ninth Doctor range of some sort An Eleventh Doctor range of some sort A Twelfth Doctor range of some sort (yes I know) The Sarah Jane Smith Companion Chronicles or some such The Paternoster Crew in some capacity (even if it's just in a range of Jago & Litefoot & Paternoster) New Monsters against the first four Doctors
The Not So Obvious Ones: The Doctor's Daughter, starring Jenny Who New Series Short Trips The Adventures & Intrigues of Canton Everett Delaware III A New Who Master set of some sort more "The ____ Years" (ie: The Harkness Years, The Vastra Years, The Trenzalore Years, etc) A New Big Finish Range along the lines of Vienna or Graceless, but set against the backdrop of The New Series rather than the Classic

Yes, I'd like to see that too. Surprised it hasn't happened yet.

I echo the Shirt trips suggestion, War Doctor and 9th Doctor S.T would be top of the list for me
The War Doctor: The Early Years (though frankly any confirmation Hurt has signed up for more stories would be exciting enough anyway...)
Would there be enough underused classic monsters for New Doctors: Classic Monsters?
Sequel to the Sirens of Time with some combination of the New Who Docs
New Who companion chronicles.
10 with a male companion in the Specials year
Yes it's unlikely and yes we argued it to death before, but I'll say it again, Eccleston!!!!!
Origin Stories for Madam Vastra and co.
Although I want Capaldi to stick around on screen as 12 as long as possible, I'm already crossing my fingers that B.F will be able to get the rights to his Doctor some day, both he and Smith have tonnes of gaps off screen...
Not sure if there are enough New Who Lost Stories to bring the range back, but perhaps an unbound series, including some of the pitched but unchosen ideas before RTD got the job for series 1?
I wonder if Moffat left things deliberately vague with Davros and Missy to enable B.F to insert new stories with both opposite the 11th Doctor? If so maybe there's still a chance for Charles Dance as the Master...
A 10/4 crossover is a cert at some point i.m.o, but I'd like at least one or two proper new/classic crossovers.

Yes, I'd like to see that too. Surprised it hasn't happened yet. I wonder how long it takes to record a Short Trip? A hour or two? I've been assuming that when Tennant/Tate/whoever else finds time in their schedule they'll want to record a few boxsets in bulk at the same time, they could probably schedule some short trips at the same time...

Short trips take half a day to record. Generally two are recorded the same day

And considering they range in length from around twenty minutes to today's release at an impressive forty, you could damn well get about a full New Who length adventure in there. I'd assume they'd be very similar to the readings of the "12 Doctors, 12 Stories" or "Time Lord Fairy Tales" anthologies.

It would be very interesting to have an Older, more calculating Master opposite Smith's Young and eccentric Doctor (well, young in appearance)... Dance was heavily rumoured for Series 8, but I really like Gomez, so no loss there i.m.o. Another though 11/K-9 stories anyone?

Since The End of Time takes place between Hurt stealing The Moment and that meeting in the war room where The General says that Rassilon's plan has failed, I that means that The Master is back on Gallifrey by that point in the episode. I thought it would kind of cool to have a one-off adventure where Rassilon sends the subjugated Master, just regenerated from Simm into, say, Charles Dance, to get The Moment back from The War Doctor. The Doctor wouldn't know that this Master is out of order for him, and The Master would probably relish the fact that he knows how this all ends for The Doctor. In the end, he'd probably let Hurt escape out of spite for Rassilon, and you could have him either regenerate into Missy by the end or leave it open for more Dance stuff (like maybe a temporary escape during The Eleventh Doctor's stay on Trenzalore or something).

I was disappointed we never got any 11/Master stories on TV. The 11th Doctor would be the perfect incarnation for a Master confrontation.

I'd like Jago and Litefoot and War. With the shield around Earth penetrated in volume 3, maybe the Doctor could go there between resolving "no more" at the end of "Engines of War" and before he nicks the Moment. Missy says she knows what the Doctor is like, he'll throw himself a wake, maybe when he decides to end the War he goes off to say goodbye to some old friends, after all he tells the Moment he fully expects to die at the same time as everything else on Gallifrey.

What if they did a regular series of one-offs? That way they could have a go at granting a lot of requests at least once, and it might give them the chance to test if some of these possibilities have the viability to be worth their own range. I think they're all great ideas but I see Big Finish having to pick and choose their battles more than I see them coming out with ten new ranges. It would also make for a very interesting range, no doubt.

Bring it back as a maybe bimonthly range which could be used to test spinoffs, give 9 more stories, utilise NuWho doctors who they can't schedule... almost every one of the ideas on this page would work. Maybe they should do a one-off CC New Who boxset, as a backdoor pilot for possible spin-off series's?

Can't remember the exact quote but Eccleston was interviewed in the Metro newspaper a few days ago and was asked what it would take to bring him back to Doctor Who his reply IIRC was something along the lines of ''Er...let's say solving World Peace'' so I wouldn't hold out much hope for the time being...
