This was with IE11/W10, it also does it with Firefox. I also tried the link on the RRR main page and it does it there as well. This is what the popup on IE is saying:
"Do you want to open or save nightshade-reviewed.gz (21.3KB) from redrocketrising.com?"
I'm getting other links on the RRR site also wanting to download various .gz files. Weird. |

Does the link work for anyone? I can't make it go wrong, but it does look like a wix press plugin problem. Not what I need on a Saturday!

Some people are definitely able to see the site. I've disabled the compression on the site to see if that helps. That's the downside of self-hosting, minor changes can upset things you don't understand and you spend hours wandering around google.

On the actual subject of the review (and this is something I forgot to mention in the Nightshade topic), I'm pretty sure Carole Ann Ford plays a second role in this towards the middle.
I say this because there's no credited actor for Mrs. Holland (the lady on the bus who talks about her husband going off to WWI) and I instantly thought it was Ford.

Tony, I'm in the middle of the USA and was doing some Googling of the ".gz" issue and it seems to be a compression related thing.
The site is working again for me now, no more .gz popups.
And... good review. Although I'd not read the book it did feel to me, at times, like the story was cut down, like it could have benefitted from a longer presentation.
