Wasn't sure where to put this
Just want to say I am overjoyed this forum was made and I really like that it mirrors the old Big Finish forums but I do think there are too many categories. It makes scrolling a bit of a pain.
Perhaps some can be condensed a bit and I am not sure we need a category for every series Big Finish ever produced. Some of those categories were old on Big Finish and rarely used.

I agree. And I think the reviews and podcasts should be just one board with threads inside for each reviewer.

I agree, especially as it is new and has so few posts.
I guess we all better start posting to help fill up the void!

Is there a way to set up the forum so that we don't have to scroll to the top to click on the next page? Very annoying.
It's a variation of something I didn't like about the BF Forum, in that, while you could click to the next page of a single thread from the bottom, when you finished reading that thread, you had to scroll back to the top to click to view the list of topics in the particular sub forum you were looking at.

I also thought you had to scroll back to the top to get to the next page, but the other day I saw that the numbers stayed up at the top no matter where in the page you are. you just click from the top now.
one thing I liked about the old forum was that in the list of new posts, it said what category each post was from. so you didn't bother clicking on posts from ranges you weren't interested in.

If you go to the bottom of the home page and click on "Recent Threads" you can see only the new posts. I don't like "Recent Posts" because there's no way to tell which thread your reading.

I agree. And I think the reviews and podcasts should be just one board with threads inside for each reviewer. Yes, that would be ideal. As would condensing some subforums. I loved Cleaning Up, for one, but there were about 3 posts a year in that subforum from me and Charles asking Simon if there was any more news

Also, put the Big Finish discussion topics at the top. Reviews and podcasts don't need to be at the top of the forum.

Turn off guest posting, only members should be allowed to post.

For review threads merge them all into one thread. There are ten listed currently, about half of which aren't even active yet.

One thread for reviews, or at least no need to list them all on the home page. This is under the assumption that you can merge threads together (I'm now not entirely sure that this can be done on ProBoards).

You can click on a main category and collapse the sub-boards on display. Where would reviews go if they all moved?

As I was instrumental in bringing QuatermassAU over from WrongPlanet, to the BF forum for his reviews, I did try to PM him several hours ago in hopes that he would come over to our new site. I've not yet heard from him though, but I think it would be bad to close out the T.O.L.D. board, that whomever set up this for us before he had some time to join up and contribute. (no answer of yet)
Not that I really thought separate boards for reviews series was going to be the greatest thing! I did suggest earlier on that we have just one review thread and each reviewer had his/her/their threads within it.

I did suggest earlier on that we have just one review thread and each reviewer had his/her/their threads within it. That'd exactly what I thought, only have one thread for reviews, all the links compiled in one thread rather than ten seperate ones. If it's manageable, maybe have another thread that lists the review links by the stories they are reviewing, for example all the different reviews for Criss-Cross listed together, a smaller version of how there was a thread for reviews for each story on the old forum.

That means work for someone to do cross links. Where would the board for threads go?
