Which Doctor would people pair her with? Personally, I'd put her with 11. Eight too obvious? Genesta with 8 would be interesting. But it would probably draw too many similarities with Charley so I doubt BF would do it.

I wondered why we didn't get Peri I, too, was hoping Peri would be part of this set. She's my favorite of Six's companions.

I was disappointed there was no Peri, as well.

When they were discussing Peri, they made it sound like they didn't know how to have one of the stories set pre-Trial... even though Peri travels with the Doctor post-Trial for an undetermined period of time.

I hadn't picked up that bit - that'll teach me to skim the extras! They could easily have had a story with the Valeyard in unknown to the Doctor and Peri, I would have thought

Or just set after The Widow's Assassin. Maybe they didn't know they were bringing older Peri back when they wrote The Last Adventure.

The End of the Line is fantastic. Atmospheric, very Sapphire & Steel, with great ideas. The reveal of The Master is well done.
Sadly, after such a great start, I didn’t enjoy The Red House all that much. The hippie dialogue was overdone and the subversions didn’t quite hit their mark for me. I didn’t like the rushed resolution and found it strange that it wasn’t really part of the main plot we’d spent the previous hour following. I did like how the Valeyard touched upon Charley’s dealings with the Sixth and Eighth Doctors though. Of course he knew all about that!

I loved this one, too. I agree that End of the Line is awesome, and maybe the best of the bunch, followed by Stage Fright and the Brink of Death. I love Charley and also love her with Six (her first few stories with Six are better than her last few stories with Eight in my opinion), but the Red House was just not as good as the other stories. I also agree that the whole Hippie Werewolf thing was very much overdone. But Charley and her confrontation with the Valeqard was pure gold. It is not a real secret that I adore Colin Baker; you can hear how much he enjoys this and he really goes to town in these stories. Overall it was very well done and a great effort. I really hope we get another box set for Six of a similar quality for next years anniversary... and I am curious which companions they pick this time, since Six has a similar army of followers as has Eight. I personally would not mind Peri (am I boring?)...

Stage Fright I was a bit mixed on. Michael Jayston is fantastic in this one, and it’s always nice to hear Jago & Litefoot, but I'm not sure; it just didn’t do much for me. It’s my first exposure to Flip - I don’t tend to get the Sixth Doctor audios - and I just found her irritating and spouting pop culture references left, right and centre. I can certainly see how many would find her quite infectious, but she’s not my cup of tea, I’m afraid.
I feel like this story would have been much better suited for Evelyn. Alas, it was never to be.

Yeah, I agree that there are better companions for Six (Evelyn and Peri for me, with Charley a honorary mention). I still have not heard an awful lot of audios with Flip so I cannot really judge, but as modern day girl companions go, from what I heard from her so far, I found her less annoying than Lucie (8th Doctor, so far only heard Lucie in the 1st series of the 8DA and I was not particularily enticed to continuing). I thought Flip was alright in Stage Fright, and she does not really steal the lime light from all the other, argueable more interesting, characters.
But you are right, just imagine how Evelyn would have gone on with Jago!

I really enjoy this EP myself but I agree if fate had been with us, Evelyn would've been sweet.

A Peri story would have been great (but how/when?) and Evelyn of course it if could have been, and I'd have liked more Mel than we actually got in the final story, but I loved the whole set from start to finish.
‘The End of the Line’ - comic-horror beginnings, expands hugely into an excellent science-fiction plot with a superb new Companion. And what a reveal! I didn't see that one coming down the line!
‘The Red House’ - a great romp; fast, funny and with lots of ‘alien wolf’ comedy that is really making fun of our own world. And very successfully sending-up every werewolf story you’ve ever heard.
‘Stage Fright’ - an outstanding story and a J&L bonus adventure, my favourite of the entirely excellent episodes encapsulated in this exceedingly exciting expedition. (It is full of references so you do have to know the classic era and especially 'Talons' to get the full benefit.) This was the first Flip story I heard and I liked her immediately; great fun and not to be underestimated.
‘The Brink of Death’ - an epic end to the epic adventure, treating Time as a mere playing field… when the gloves are off, you never doubt this Doctor can defeat the most evil of enemies, even himself… and his four last words to the Valeyard are a moment of genius that sets up his future perfectly… ('What about your moral scruples? ' They died with me.') Brilliant.

A really good finale. Loved the concept of time in it and Colin Baker and Michael Jayston are in fine form. I was surprised how little Mel was in it, and I wish Genesta became a companion!
Overall a mixed set for me. I loved the first, wasn’t keen on the middle two, and enjoyed the finale. I wish they’d gone with Peri (and Frobisher?!) for the first, and I think Stage Fright would have been perfect to Evelyn. That would have felt like a better celebration of the Sixth Doctor and not just a celebration of Big Finish.

Just been revisiting the tales out of sequence of course lol
Stage Fright-Matt Fitton was one of my favourites on the original listens as was The End Of The Line-Simon Barnard/Paul Morris
I guess having Jago and Litefoot and the re-enactments of the Doctors past adventures and a Flip who comes into her own in this story makes it a stand out story in the set.I loved it when I first heard it and still love it now.
