From DWM: Ravenous 4 and 8th Doctor Continued details (minor Ravenous 4 ending spoilers):
Not all of the current TARDIS crew will make it to the end of Ravenous, but those who survive will appear in another four-volume storyline, Stranded. There’ll be an expanded cast of new and familiar recurring characters, including a new companion, and the style of storytelling will differ from both Doom Coalition and Ravenous. “I think both of them were very different beasts, but they’re quite epic in scale,” says David Richardson. “What I wanted to do in going beyond that was to bring it down quite a bit, just to concentrate on the drama and the characters, and give our actors some incredibly intimate material to play with.”
Whilst there's many things that intrigue me (I'm worried for Helen and Liv), I'm mostly intrigued by the expanded cast notion.

Not all of the current TARDIS crew will make it to the end of Ravenous, Following on from Ravenous 3, should we count the Eleven as part of the current TARDIS crew for these purposes - could he be regenerating in to Julia McKenzie?
Otherwise, if it is to be Liv or Helen maybe it will be written as a tearjerker in which they finally acknowledge their feelings for one another, only for it all to be tragically cut short

Problem with that is that if The Eleven goes (he is a companion after all), that still leaves two companions....but then you add in a new companion and I can't picture 8 having 3 companions.

Agreed, after the universe-sprawling arcs of Doom Coalition and Ravenous a more contained storyline might be a nice change of pace.

I reckon that either The Eleven is going back to being a recurring villain, or he’s going entirely. I’d be shocked if they regenerate him so early, when they could get some Time War stories out of Mark Bonnar first. Also the way the Doctor reacts to The Twelve suggests that they part on antagonistic terms. What I reckon is gonna happen, is that the Eleven will reveal his plans and end up failing as always, then get sent off elsewhere so we don’t know what happens to him. And Liv will probably die if one of the core cast is dying. Helen will then probably toughen up significantly going forward, and becoming far closer to the Doctor in much the same way Liv was. Then a new companion will join, whom I suspect might be male this time around. But then, most of the time when we try to guess these things it ends up being the complete opposite.

If it's going to have an expanded cast, maybe we'll see a little bit more integration of the ranges.
The War Master range is coming to an end, but by all accounts Derek Jacobi has had a ball working with BF, and Scott and co. working with him. Having him turn up as a regular or semi-regular in another range's 16-episode set would be a good way to keep him involved for a few years.
Or perhaps Gallifrey? Maybe our Time War speculation to date has been wrong, or interpretation of the Doctor's entry into it has been wrong, and the Gallifrey: Time War sets already released have been happening in parallel with Ravenous? Perhaps the expanded cast could include Romana and Narvin, in their exile that we'll be seeing in the next GTW set.
Or even more out there - what about Benny? Her and the Unbound Doctor have a great chemistry, and it might be interesting to see how the two of them bounce off of Eight and [whoever survives Ravenous].
Lots and lots of possibilities for range cross-pollination! And that's without even trying to dream up new characters....

Yeah, I'd definitely agree that a Bernice Summerfield dot-to-dot book is an odd addition to BF's 2019 marketing strategy...

OHHHHHHH PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE 😂Lets leave `Romantic Sub Plots out of it they ruin Doctor Who truly lol IMO I am of the opinion one of the companions does leave yes. Am not happy about it as i want more intimate Who stories with this TEAM.But if its not to be-well its been a rollercoaster set of stories and drama at its best. We have so many characters die i kind of get bored of it its no longer drama ,its expected. There other ways to write out a character.I said before this is Bonnars and Hdeffernans set not The Masters so hopefullythey will shine through and not be totally sidelined in the finale

A twelve hour series called Stranded, sounds like Big Finish’s version of Lost. I hope they have a satisfying resolution planned. If they number the boxsets using Roman numerals the first set would be... STRANDED I Which would then be an anagram of TARDIS END So my guess is that the Doctor and his companion(s) don’t have the Tardis. They are stranded somewhere, escape (end of the first box?) and then have to travel by more conventional methods to search for their lost Tardis.

Did anyone else think Narvin was holding a lightsaber for a second? Not really a cross-over I'm expecting, but I still haven't figured out what it actually is that I'm looking at there. Lightsaber would have to be better than any of my guesses.

You could be right, I just heard a rumor that Stranded III features a story called You Wait All Day for a Bus and Then Three Come Along at Once by Matt Fitton.

Awesome. Sounds great, I am all for a shakeup of the usual configuration. I will cry for Liv and/ or Helen when they go, but I am sure they will get a proper epic send-off. Might have to train my tear glands accordingly to honor the occasion appropriately.
As for bringing it down a bit and having more drama and character stories- YES please. Scherzo is one of the best things BF has done for a reason.
And it did not need a massive all-star cast.
So yes, more things along the lines of "Scherzo" would be awesome.
Sometimes less is better and there is such a thing as too much of a good thing (like big blockbuster releases). So this is welcome.
Bring it on. When can I pre-order?
