I wonder if it’s the return of Straxus.
That or The Chevalier D’Eon Chronicles Volumes 1-4.

Most likely Straxus but 'just imagine' if the Chevalier joined the TARDIS crew for a while. Wouldn't he/she (depending on when in the time-line it was set) be an exciting Companion? En garde!

Ten, Donna and the Chevalier would certainly make an interesting dynamic.

Apparently when asked at Galaxy-Con yesterday Eccleston said he'd "Take BF's calls" now he's probably just being polite...

I saw Colin at a convention today and he said he's recording a Constance/Flip story tomorrow. He also suggested the villains would be a talking point when announced, but didn't elaborate...

How very interesting. Could either be one from the new series or ones they have yet to use. Are we to expect the Rills or Kleptons to make an appearance? Also, yay for more Mrs Clarke and Flip.

From this vantage point, it seems like he's enjoying reconnecting with fans of his role but not keen to actually reprise it anytime soon (beyond a personal video for a fan here and there). I think he's just being kind in not trying to rain on anyone's parade.
I was really excited to hear David Tennant return to the role for BF but once I got over the novelty/nostalgia, there was only really one script that stood out for me as truly memorable (Death and the Queen). If by some miracle the stars aligned and he decided to do it, I'd selfishly hope that Eccleston would get something different to do instead of creating more "lost television episodes" (e.g., an anthology of short intimate theatrical scripts in the style of Urgent Calls). I personally think it would be good to push the boat out a bit and make it truly different.

Early Christmas present! (Thanks very much for letting us know cwm .) I'm sure the villains will be a talking point (on DU we can discuss the plastic from which the CD cases are made and we have done! ) but for me the real point is more Sixie, Constance and Flip, yayyyy!
I enjoyed all the arc from 'Criss-Cross' so much and 'Static' is in my pre-Christmas listening list again, perfect Who 'ghost story' for the season. I can't wait to find out what happens next.
EDIT: I did think of saying that a talking point (like this one: . ) would be a very original villain and ideal for '...Ish 2' ('...Isher'?), but I didn't because I've already been ticked off for punnery once today... )

Going by his autobiography I can see that he means it and is not just being polite when he says he is proud of the role. He watches his episodes of DW with his kids. And his negative experiences were partly down to his own issues as well to anything that happened on set, and now that he has gone some way to resolving his own issues I think he is definitely thawing towards the prospect of playing the Doctor, but it will be a gradual process. I think BF would actually be better getting him in to play another role in a BF original or the BF Classics and let him see how they work, etc.

As much as I'd like to hear Mark Bonnar in a Macbeth adaptation I wouldn't mind Chris sinking his teeth into the role as an introduction to Big Finish. From my understanding he wasn't best pleased with his performance\the production of the play he was a part of last year so perhaps a more faithful adaptation would be the way to go to 'butter him up' so to speak.
