Tom Baker and Iris Wildthyme The Fourth Doctor met Iris in print before she met any other Doctor, and yet they have no audios together! Absurd.

I’m sure I read somewhere that Fourth and Iris Wildthyme allegedly got on better with one another compared to his future incarnations because they’re both quite eccentric.

It would be wonderful! I can imagine Four in full 'Season 17' mode and Iris... just her normal everyday self.

Sounds like either an anniversary release or somthing 4 related. Handcock confirmed on Twitter that he doesn't do Fourth stuff.

Nope, there was a Short Trip with Four, Sarah and Iris a few months before The Scarlet Empress! It's also the origin of Iris's companion Captain Turner who was in her latest Big Finish series.

Round Up of info from the BF Management catch up for Virtual Chicago TARDIS - Remote Recording will continue to to used as a tool as its provided contacts and opportunities that wouldn't be possible otherwise, even though remote directing is more taxing than in Studio
- Jason Haigh Ellery has done some remote recording/ directing on an unannounced project though he hopes to finish it in Studio
- Helen Goldwyn is Script Editing 1 series and is directing another (a 2nd series to one that debut last year), Away from BF, shes writing an original stage play and co-writing/directing with Louise Jamson on a remote recorded Comedy Series which they hope to pitch to TV
- Robots Vol 4 is recording now
- More Tom Baker Recording next week
- 1st Post MR stories for the 5th Doc are recording very soon
- Up to 10 scripts for the 9th Doc are ready for final approval and Recording Dates are nearly set
- Lots of other release are in the can
- Work is also ongoing on the Unannounced Gerry Anderson project
- Long term idea for Jason is for BF to something visual ala BBV but it would probable have to be something original with a lot of general appeal, also praise for Emma Haigh, Emily Cooke and other new blood for their enthusiasm.

Extremely interesting that the 9th Doc scripts are still awaiting approval. I've got a gut feeling that series is going to be something particularly special

I've got a gut feeling that series is going to be something particularly special I’m hoping we might get some darker material for the Ninth Doctor. Real deep introspective character study stuff. Along with regular adventures of course.

The only ranges that debuted last year and have yet to have a follow-up are The Dimension Cannon, The Eighth of March and, if one wants to include it, The Further Adventures of Lucie Miller. So exciting to hear more about the 9DAs. I guess if recording dates are nearly set we won't be hearing about them until early next year at least though.

If I remember correcqtly, didnt we get a rushes trailer for the first 10DAs the evening they finished recording the first set? Maybe we'll get something like that for 9DA. I'm sure BF will be making a huge deal of it all

* Certainly would help with overseas recording and people who cant get to the studios. i guess directing would be quite hard if there is lag or their audio set up isn't properly calibrated
* Wonder if its Doctor Who related but it could be either a new range or a BF Original
* I wonder if its Rose Tyler Series 2 as that is the only new range to come out last year ( 8th of March was more of a sample box set for Female Centric Ranges- UNIT New Series, Benny, Paternoster Gang and Diary of River Song. from another comment on here suggesting The Further Adventures of Lucie Miller- Nick Briggs has stated that there are plans for more Lucie Stories but depends on the availability of Sheridan Smith and Paul McGann and since Sheridan is now a mum i am not sure if remote recording can be possible with her)
* I Guess the segments of The Robots Series 4 is The Liv Chenka segments as there was dialogue already recorded by David Collings for Volume 4 before his passing * More Tom Baker i wonder if its for The 4DA which given that a year or so ago they mentioned that they have Tom Audios till last till 2027 and given that Tom has recorded 3 times this year this might be for Series 19A/B or Series 20 which should be released in 2029/2030. or the next possibility is that its for Stranded Vol 3 and 4?
* Well Given That The Main Range Stories- Perils and Nightmares and The Lost Resort are being moved over to The Fifth Doctor Adventures and since the box set formula is 3 Stories its possible that there has been one more story recorded with Marc and Two Others For Box set #2
* Really curious about this given that there are 12 stories in total so that means two more scripts are yet to be written, we have confirmation that Briggs is writing one but announcing the boxsets before recording is kinda odd and a tad worrying but Dorney said that things should be fine
* There are heaps of projects in the pipeline even some hinted in some news articles such as 1) More First Doctor Adventures (hinted to feature a recasted Dodo which means its either Post Savages/ Pre War Machines)
2) The Second Doctor Adventures yet to be officially announced which hints that its set during Season 6b
3) More Third Doctor Adventures (likely Volume 8 which was announced on the BF website and Volume 9 is likely in Pre-Production) 4) Confirmed above that there are some Fourth Doctor Adventures being worked on (hopefully some Sadie Miller Sarah and 4 Stories and possibly 4/Romana 2 stories)
5) Well they confirmed that there are Fifth Doctor Adventures in the works (Two Stories from the Main Range being transferred to the boxset) 6) Well Bonnie Langford has been recently recording for Big Finish so its possible 6DA Volume 2 will be 6 and Mel stories (gosh darn it cant we have Frobisher back)
7) Big Finish did hint of The Seventh Doctor Final Adventures before the events of The TV Movie so potentially that's one of the boxsets ( or potentially the 7DA boxset could be 7/Ace and Mel Stories) 8) Well given that Stranded is still being worked on, McGann has been cast for Charley Pollard 3, Briggs mentioning of a Secret Project in the podcast (speculating but i think its Comic Strips with Izzy given that Jemma recorded for Time War 4 in 2019 and Briggs has gone on record talking to Alan Barnes about Izzy) 9) Well The Ninth Doctor Adventures are being worked on as mentioned above 10) Hard to say if David has recorded more Tenth Doctor Adventures given that Dalek Universe has been already announced and recorded but hopefully some more stories are being worked on
We know that Jacob Dudman has recorded some more Chronicles (11th Doctor Chronicles were announced recently but im sure we are getting some 10DC or even 9DC at some point) Derek Jacobi has recorded more War Master (i want to bet that one of them will feature The War Doctor played by Jonathan Carley), The Martha Jones Spin off is probably to yet be officially announced, not sure what other projects could be worked on
* If Jason wants to do something visual and popular enough then perhaps a live action special featuring Bernice Summerfield as a test? (they could even do crowd funding if they wanted to see if people were interested) i mean another project would be something similar to the Mark Gattis film that BF worked on.

Thinking on the Tom recording next week, given they've got 4DAs banked beyond the current end of the licence already, perhaps some Summer boxsets are in order. I, for one, would be well up for 'Doctor Who: The Fourth Doctor & Sarah Jane Smith" vols 1-4. Gives her a bit more importance than the regular 4DAs (which I think, if any companion deserves, it's Sarah)

I did wonder whether Helen was referencing Lady Christina series 2, actually. I appreciate that the dates don’t necessarily line up, but who can tell what year anything is any more. I was amazed to remember that Donna Noble Kidnapped was out this year! It’s not terribly odd to have boxsets announced before recording - a lot of the ongoing series like the 8th Doctor and War Doctor Begins have a good chunk available before they’ve even been written! It’s unusual to have an announcement before anything’s recorded, sure, but I suspect that was to gazump leaks. But think of it as early announcement rather than late recordings, and you’ll see why I said it’s fine and nothing to worry about (not ‘should be’ fine, it ‘is’ fine). (Oh and I think all 12 are written, just they might not all be locked down yet. Again, with some of the releases in 2022, this is perfectly fine and usual!).

Well Lady Christina was released on August 2018 and was probarly recorded several months before that but yeah dates and years are kinda blurring together these days
ah okay yeah true
and interesting i thought that all of them would have been submitted to the bbc at a one time kind of deal and get approval at the same time
