Anyway out of overzealous caution I’ve frantically downloaded Zygon, Blackpool and 4th Doc Lost Stories onto my laptop from my account. This might finally give me the impetus to get USB drives to back up the whole damn lot. You might want to add Zygon Hunt from the Fourth Doctor Adventures to that download list as well..

The Fourth Doctor Lost Stories set is also unavailable to purchase now. I wonder if something has happened with the rights to Robert Banks Stewart’s material. Also curiously Death in Blackpool is still available. Now we just have to hope that there isn't an issue with the estates of Gerry Davis & Kit Pedler before The New Adventures of Bernice Summerfield Volume 07: Blood and Steel comes out next month.

ZYgon and Krynoid stoiries no longer available on the Big Finish website. Right sissues? Could this be why the Zygon S9 Target novelisation was delayed too…?

And if rights issues have been bubbling under for a while, they might explain why the New Series UNIT spin off has never touched on the Zygon status quo.

I just checked my account and all of those titles are there and downloadable. Either there is a dns delay in removing them from circulation, or people are experiencing a different issue with the BF site.

I’ve asked BF Insider on Twitter and have yet to receive a reply. 12 hours and nothing from them, we wish we had a director, writer or producer who really communicated to get the information out to the consumer it is rather maddening experience

The only way they will learn is to continue to lean hard on them over the "basics"..
Absolutely.

All they have to do is state this has happened in regards to these releases and whether they're working to get them back or not. Regards mark687

Death in Blackpool can no longer be purchased on the website.
So that’s a pretty massive hole for any future listeners seeking to follow the 8DAs.

Still nothing over at Twitter. Try the sales email? sales@bigfinish.com The person who runs the Twitter is on break so you probably won't hear back for a while.

It’d be nice if they used their social media presence as a genuine marketing and customer interaction tool, rather than the endless GIFs or photoshops under the guise of an intern persona. Most of the time there feels like a complete disconnect between who replies to what they post and genuine customers and that sort of reach only gets you so far. Any responses to individuals tend to just be a GIF and they’re few and far between.
It’s not that hard to get some scripts created to help address queries and concerns from customers that the social media team can handle. It’s frustrating to see how many people send questions to the Big Finish Twitter and not receive a response. Instead they’re too busy photoshopping Nick Briggs’ head onto the Pope or finding a GIF they’ve never used before.
Mind you, they paid an external consultant to tell them to add “Insider” to their handle and can barely produce a news article without any sort of question or confusion. We shouldn’t be surprised.

Regards mark687 Presumably BF"s agreemennts with rightsholders either have a set end/renewal date or else are ongoing until terminated by either party, presumably with notice. Either way, BF should know some time, even if only a week or two, in advance if they are going to lose the rights to a particular release. Surely it is possible for them to make a news release beforehand to let would-be purchasers know it is their last chance to buy and to let anyone who has already bought it know if it will remain available for DL from BF or if they need to make a priority to save their own local copy. It's not rocket science, just a bit of forward planning and admin. In fact, given that they will have an email address for anyone who bought these relases direct and has access to the DL, could they not even email the affected customers directly? Maybe not if retaining email addresses is in breach of the GDPR, or that kind of targeted mailshot is beyond the data minibg capabilities of their software
