Might be for the best if you can't accept other people's opinions & get upset then maybe time take a break from forum.

It’s the Daily Mail, one of the worst newspapers this country has to offer, behind the Sun at least. The article is probably fake. Not fake it's true. It's just that I've only seen evidence from the fact that just four news outlets, three tabloid and one local have posted about it.

It's just that I've only seen evidence from the fact that just four news outlets, three tabloid and one local have posted about it. I think multiple newspapers printing it (tabloid or not) proves that it’s true. One on its own is incredibly unlikely to fabricate it entirely (it would be libellous after all), three others going for it is fairly incontrovertible. In my experience, tabloids tend not to make things up. They’re more muck-raking than the broadsheets, dealing in slightly grubbier and more gossipy stories (hence this story not making it to any of the broadsheets), but they tend not to straight make things up, especially not like this (unless we’re talking the Sunday Sport).

Amongst some other behind-the-scenes scuttlebutt I've heard recently, I'm told that RTD is about to enforce much greater oversight and quality control on what Big Finish do with the Doctor Who license. If Eccleston has gotten wind that Russell is more involved than before, he might be reluctant to continue.
Could be. If he's really planning to go down the multiple-spinoffs route, he can't risk BF get ahead of him and creating "Golly, Trolly Dolly: The New Adventures of Tegan Jovanka" or "UNIT - Army Careers Office" if he's planning to do so.
I think this is all lies. I’ve googled Colin and all the articles on this are from rubbish tabloid ‘newspapers’.
While it's true that newspapers do swallow stories from stringers without fact checking, this is something that's happened in the last few days in this country as a matter of public record. It would be the work of a moment for a professional journalist or you or I to investigate satisfactorily. It's simply more plausible that this story is true than that it's been invented by a newspaper for no obvious reason and only one guy on the internet has spotted it. It's not enough to simply disbelieve the contents of a newspaper because you don't approve of it; I don't approve of the British newspaper that printed racist political cartoons, or the one who refuses to comment on a government's failings, or the ones owned by the group headed by a billionaire that hacked people's phones, but I don't automatically assume they're actually inventing stories out of whole cloth.

Colin was banned from driving a few years ago for some reason. This isn't the first time.

I can see your point there. Maybe I did get a bit inaccurate in my arguments.

Just saw on Reddit Christopher Eccleston confirmed yesterday at a convention that he's recording more boxsets for Big Finish in September Ha! Didn't I say it! I’m not saying this to be argumentative but I would assume he is recording another box set or two for the second series of audios of which he has committed to. CE doesn’t strike me as a person who breaks contracts. So I don’t see him fulfilling a prior obligation as confirmation that everything is peaches & cream. Time will let us know if the rumors of his departure are true or not. And if they are true, well, we got another 2 series worth of stories plus at least one more from him.

Wasn’t there a tweet last year saying he had completed recording all of series 2? Edit: found it!

Wasn’t there a tweet last year saying he had completed recording all of series 2? Edit: found it! Well, there you go. Here is hoping for many more audios from him, although I would point out we don’t know how many series he signed on for. The truth remains we don’t know what is going on behind the scenes with RTD, Bad Wolf, the BBC and Big Finish. So we don’t know how what may or may not be happening impacts CE’s continued relationship with the 9th Doctor on audio. As noted, I hope for a long relationship. The 9th Doctor Adventures is the most consistent Doctor Who range of the past couple of years. As I also noted above, we will have to wait and see if any or all of the rumors turn out to be true or not. *Edit* The other thing I would add about any potential increased oversight from RTD in regard to Big Finish is the involvement of Sony. As we all know Sony purchased Bad Wolf and I have to believe their are much larger plans for the show beyond what we already know. The pressure of having a major international media company involved should not be underestimated in any moves as they relate to Doctor Who and all the other media that flows out of it. The Sony factor is why I think there may well be some degree of substance to the rumor.

The series has run for over 40 years now, and after Sony took over a few years ago, it has grown from strength to strength. So this might actually be a good sign. If they learn a thing or two from us over here.
