Phenomenal audio drama that combines solid character drama, great scares, strongly written storyline by Dan Abnett & a little hint of what's to come for Hex, "hmmmm that's interesting".
I rate The Harvest 9/10.

Invoking His name in vain will get Mr Hex in trouble one day... If you like what you hear of Hex, then the next story with this team I recommend is LIVE 34. It's an innovative and very dark story that you won't forget in a hurry. Then there's the creepy Night Thoughts, followed by the pure historical The Settling, which is set in Ireland and features Oliver Cromwell as the historical celebrity. No Man's Land is a good one, Nocturne not so much.

I love this audio. It's a great intro for Hex, whom I loved from the start. Aldred and McCoy are on top form, and I think it's a really unique Cyberman story. I think Philip Olivier and Sophie have great chemistry right from the beginning, and listening to their relationship grow and change over Hex's time in the Tardis is one of the draws for me. A really great audio all around. (And I agree that Live 34 is another terrific outing for this TARDIS team.)

I really like Hex, but other than two or three I'm not that bothered about the stories he's in. That arc seemed to go on for ever and wasn't my kind of thing in the first place so I lost interest - much like the older Nyssa run.
LIVE34 is great though.

In case anyone is wondering, LIVE 34 is the third story to feature Hex traveling with the Seventh Doctor and Ace (Dreamtime is the second, but it's not the best story out there). It's unusual in that it takes the form of a newscast that happens to include news stories that include some familiar voices. It's one of those stories you need to listen to in order to fully experience it. It is very dark and grim.

My thoughts exactly. If you reply with another Oh my God I'm not taking you with me.

I really should hear this again sometime soon. Hex continues to grow on me with each and every 7th Doctor audio but it didn't really start until the riveting Live 34 so I'm afraid his intro mostly just bounced off me.
