The Romance of Crime / The English Way of Death - 3639 Eh? I purchased my copy only the other day and it's number 2657, maybe BF has all 10,000 copies laying around in a Warehouse and sends them out at random...

That's the conclusion that we've reached at this point They're all there and boxed, just not really delivered in the right order... Imagine that each product is an encounter with River - you never quite know where you're up to...

Mine came from Book Depository - I got them after I had bought the download and it was cheaper doing it that way than had I ordered the physical copy direct from BF in the first place. I highly doubt the warehouse sends them out in numerical order.

These are all limited edition numbers, you can't have the same numbers as someone else (well, unless he sold them all to you). Or do you mean that you also own all those releases, just not the numbers next to them?

To (almost) complete this set (I STILL haven't checked The Light at the End...), I now have: Spare Parts - Limited Vinyl Edition: #118 Am tempted to get a few more of these LEs but the only problem is that I’ll grow old by the time these reach me Knowing that they're in the mail and on the way is half the fun for me - the anticipation of "Is it here today?" And then there's the ultimate satisfaction of sliding it into its proper place on the shelf when it finally does arrive... it's so much fun! (...and I STILL haven't checked The Light at the End... and this point, I don't think I'm even going to bother )

(...and I STILL haven't checked The Light at the End... and this point, I don't think I'm even going to bother ) The anticipation of acquiring is more satisfying than possession itself I got a decent bonus yesterday, thinking what to spend it on Well, the possession is pretty special when you start to muster a large collection. I remember when I first started: I couldn't even fill one row on my bookshelf, and it always felt a bit lame. Fast forward nearly three years, and I've come to the conclusion (having measured out the space for what I'm missing) that this bookshelf, consisting of 6 shelves (one once used in a primary school library!), is not big enough for the full Doctor Who range, no matter what way I stack the CDs; now that I'm this far, it's so much more satisfying to look at than the single shelf. I don't keep the shelf where I live (I've moved house four times in the last two years, and I'm moving again in a month), so when I go to visit my Dad there's always the added bonus of getting to see "The Shelf" again in all is Big Finish glory! Oh, you mean Big Finish got a decent bonus today If you're looking for recommendations, I would have to go with Counter-Measures (if you haven't already; I know we talking about it over in the New CM Series 2 thread) - it's not a huge range, but the quality is undeniably brilliant.

I understand what you say. Some years back during my student days, I had a huge book collection which unfortunately I had to give away when we moved houses due to space constraint. I used to love staring at them But now, most of my stuff is digital, mainly for want of space. I live with my parents and if I try to accumulate CDs, they'll throw both me and my collection out So these days I get hard copies of only those that are really special to me - like the Harry Potter complete collection still stays with me. As far as the bonus is concerned, BF is a no brainer obviously - counter measures is one, and I also need to get some of the second doctor stories. and maybe pre-order the time war series (whatever I don't have) and maybe River song and maybe Fourth doctor series 5 and.. it goes on I have also set my eyes on the new iphone............. i need an upgrade

If it's a pre-order, buy it. Anything else has to wait... it's a slow system (and expensive when the sales roll around), but it seems to work
