i hope you got tom baker 1 before that 1 I didn’t, as a sequel to Death to the Daleks simply just does not interest me on any level. Followed Dalek Universe 1 fine without it. I own it and i haven’t listened to it lmao

Torchwood - The Five People You Kill in Middlesbrough and Madam I'm. As titles go, that's two of the quirkiest and I'm looking forward to hearing them.

As there is only 10 hours left till it hits the month of May in Australia, I just pre-ordered the 4 X 9th Doctor boxsets in a cd bundle. Just a fraction over AUS$200 .. ouch.. Now to see if my brother wants me to order the same for him- that would be 2 X vinyl bundles and cd bundles. fun times

Just did my sums from 10th August when 9th Doctor range was announced up until yesterdays order : AUS $2,748.97 in just under 9 months.. oops. I am only 4 cds behind in the Main/Monthly range- I picked up 60 in 5 12mth subs since September last year. I am going to start on the Torchwood subs in a few weeks when I have more $, I literally only have the 1st 5 releases. waaayy behind.

Decided to get the one item from the current offers that I don't already have (despite already having an 8th Doctor and 2 daleks) also decided to get a couple more down loads (Blake's 7:Chosen and TLV:Echoes of Extinction
(and elsewhere ordered a couple of old MR releases that I didn't have physical copies of)

I received yet another 'well done' voucher from work so I have ordered from WHSMITH:
The Robots 2 (which I'm saving with vol.1 for my August holiday listening when I head up to Northumberland) Return of the Cybermen Colony of Fear Torchwood: Dead Beat Escape
And Judge Dredd: Complete Case Files 3

Thanks to the extension of the offer, I grappled with my conscience last night and decided to order first thing this morning, the Limited Edition CD sets of Light at the End & The Gareth Roberts Novel Adaptations.
I already had the standard editions so backed off earlier in the week, despite seeing that the postage was very reasonable (£4 in all). They just seemed to good to pass on what is likely a clearance sale and thereby the last chance to get them (66% off).
Purely a buy for a collectible point of view. Already having The Last Adventure in this format, I understand that these are nice presentation items.
Plus it means I now have The Revenants (narrated by William Russell) too.
Not bad for the price of two standard monthly range releases. Double the hours listening content (10 hours) plus the booklet in a case presentation format.

Decided to do two pre-orders today:
UNIT: Nemesis 1, I don't know the new UNIT stuff at all but having Harry Sullivan is what really appeals here. The War Doctor Begins 2 because more War Doctor content is always welcome.

First pre-orders in ages: The new UNIT set featuring the Eleven and the Curator. That sounds really interesting. Hope they are going to do something with it, have been disappointed before like with that UNIT vs. River story... And then I pre-ordered Colin as Bayban the Butcher. I have never seen Blakes 7, never had any interest in it, and reading the synopsis, does not tickle any of my fancies. However, this sounds like Colin hamming it up as a baddie for a couple of hours. That sounds like something I definitely can get on board with. I will just ignore all the bits I do not understand... Colin is always value for money.

I've never watched Blake's 7 either, I was just a bit too young and only vaguely remember it on the telly, but the single disc series 1 and 2 by BF are excellent and it won't take long to get in to the swing of it all

On the other hand, I probably would also listen to Colin reading the yellow pages.....

'City at the Edge of the World' (Colin/Bayban's episode) is one of my top top favourites, partly for Bayban (top of the Federation's Most Wanted list - after Blake...*), partly for Vila (my favourite character in the crew) and partly because it's a terrific story. If you know anyone who's into B7, borrow a DVD and watch that one episode, it's fairly self-contained and Colin as the villain is well worth seeing!
* B7 Fans, all together now, deep breath and... 'AFTER BLAKE?!'

* B7 Fans, all together now, deep breath and... 'AFTER BLAKE?!' I bet it must be worth seeing. It is Colin! Sadly I am a German living in rural Germany and at a guess there is nobody in a 500 km radius who might even have heard of the series. So yeah, will dive into this as a complete virgin.
