Well, I could ask him about it when I see him at LI Who in November, but that's a very long wait.

Wasn't there a whole thing about it at the time. It was before I started listening to BF, but I think it was made by WETA, and used when McGann did his photoshoot with the Dark Eyes costume. I don't think it was ever actually mentioned in story though. He lost it on the train and when he was in New Zealand for a convention in 2013 he was presented with a new one. I even got to hold it and get someone to take a picture of me wielding it!

We have Who conventions here in NZ? It was a 50th anniversary thing several years ago. Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann and Nick Briggs were the guests. It was a long queue for autographs! The recreation of Power of the Daleks and one of the Auton videos from the Wilderness years were played after the panels.

Funny thought; someone in NZ probably owns the screwdriver then! One of us might even know them jb! It's disappointing when there aren't many Doctor Who guests at Armageddon, particularly Classic Who. The guy who played Danny Pink will be at the Wellington one Queen's Birthday weekend, and they're still milking people who were in The Hobbit. I was really lucky to meet Richard Franklin last year, and John Levene in Wellington 2012. NZ's usually quiet when it comes to conventions, though at least that helps me save money!

There's the Dark Eyes and Doom Coalition covers, the Titan Comics miniseries, and some reference photos on the Internet for it. Shouldn't be too hard to see most of the details.
