When I went to the Big Finish website today to view my account, Firefox did not connect me and instead sent me the following message: "Your connection is not secure The owner of www.bigfinish.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website." Chrome gave me this warning: "Your connection is not private Attackers might be trying to steal your information from bigfinish.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID" Safari and Opera warned me that BF's security certificate has expired. Anyone else getting these notifications? I've emailed Big Finish. (And, yes, I have too many browsers. )

Firefox also says:
bigfinish.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate expired on 29 May, 2016 7:20 PM.
So it seems somebody forgot to renew the security certificate and it ran out an hour ago.

Seems like that must be the case.

Happens to the best of companies, but BF need to sort it fast, it will chase a lot of people away, I hope someone can fix it today, it's not hard to renew security certs so long as you have access to the correct email account.

We have a holiday on Monday, too. But I don't think it means they have to wait till Tuesday to renew, does it?

But surprised that there hasn't been an official Tweet or FB Post about it yet.

From BF on FB:
"The standard security certificate has expired - we're looking into how it happened, and getting it extended."

Yeah, Ian just emailed me back with essentially the same message and assured me that no data is at risk.

I guess they're trying to reach their tech people to fix it.

True. And it's a safe bet that BF hosts their servers at one of the many data centres in the UK, so I'm sure their response speed of the techs at that company is a factor too.

Yeah, as has been said, this is a very simple fix, but is dependant on someone who know what they are doing with the right access, it is those factors that could mean were in for a wait.

Related: looks like the Podcasts are hosted off the same device, as the Apple Podcast app displays the same security error even when you've just refreshed to see if there's anything new to download.

Who'd be responsible for keeping the certificates valid usually ? The Web Host (HM) or the content provider (BF)?
