My cable doesn't have Ovation TV in its lineup. I have written to request it, but for now I'm going to have to wait for a DVD or Bluray release!

It will be available on Netflix but I think it may not be until after it airs on Ovation. Not sure though because I don't have Netflix.
With Amazon & Itunes you should get the episodes the day after they air on Ovation.

I'm a big fan of AV too....and I'm glad if I couldn't win the autograph that another huge fan did. Also, welcome if I haven't said so before! Always nice to see new posts from new members!

What a great day this was for announcements! First, Anne Rice announces that she has regained the film rights to all of her books, and will be bringing them to television.
And now this!! AV in Versailles in two weeks!!! An early Christmas present!

I've been watching Versailles!! Definitely loving it--for the gorgeous filming, locales, costumes...it's really beautiful to look at. I've been to the Palace of Versailles, so it's all familiar to me. Alex's performance is a standout, while I think all the cast are wonderful...he (and his character Philippe) are easily the scene stealers. I too, like the relationship between the two brothers. As for the sex/violence, I've seen much more graphic on Game of Thrones, Spartacus, Shameless...and many others. What is here is intrinsic to the plot and right from a historical standpoint. Of course, I also realize that not every show is for everybody, and I respect muckypup's opinion, and anyone else's.
Perfect for me. Right up my alley.

Awesome Trace I don't think you are on Twitter but if you are we have a lovely community there. If you are on Facebook (which I am not) there is also a fan group. Lots of crossover between the Twitter and Facebook group. Either way you would meet a lot of nice people. m.facebook.com/groups/VersaillesFans/

I am on Twitter, but hardly ever go on, or tweet. I do use Facebook a lot, so I joined! Will have to check it out in more detail since I just finished series 1. Loved it! Alex is so good in this, but the whole cast is great. I also think George Blagden is really excellent as Louis XIV....I was not familiar with him before (never watched Vikings) so he is a revelation to me. So glad to know we're getting AT LEAST 2 more series!
