Another winner form John Dorney. As others have pointed out, this man has never yet written a bad story. More than anything else this episode put me in mind of an episode the TV series Hustle, with the Doctor as the mark. Even the music at the end, between the last line and the closing theme, reminded me of the Hustle theme tune. However, I'm not 100% sure how faithful it was to the character of Drax as seen in The Armageddon Factor. A rogue? Definitely, yes. A Conman? Not so sure.
I think lidar was on the right track...a collection of them should be called a Hustle of Drax's.
As this must have been recorded a while back I wonder if John Dornay writing this was the inspiration for the Doom Coalition villain The Eleven!?
That sounds like a podcast question. I had held off on listening to part two of this but finally did so yesterday. After a rough & painful week it was nice to lose myself in something so well written and gleefully performed. If not the best FDA, it has got to be right near the top. As always, thanks to everyone involved.
Drax was a Time Lord who managed to get locked up in Brixton and then later in his life continued to make such a pig's ear of things he had to alter his own timeline in order to succeed.
