I will be preordering them as soon as I'm able to. I really enjoyed the first box set and I'm even more excited for these two box sets! I have absolute faith in David Llewellyn and Guy Adams to deliver some high quality stories!

Interesting that there is no classic monsters or villans again in volume 2. Shows faith in the sets that they aren't relying on them. It definitely lessens the nostalgic tone, and may indicate that these stories will try more experimental ideas in storytelling.

Ordered Vol 2 & will eventually order 3. The one thing is I do hope Richard Franklin will also be involved. It's a pity that Volumes 2 and 3 weren't bundled. As well as involving Richard Franklin, I also hope that long shot John Levene will be included within these forthcoming Third Doctor adventures. Levene seems to have no problem working for Fantom Films. Big Finish need to hire Kim & Aggy to clean the booth first mate.

They do sound like very interesting stories even though a 3rd Doctor Cyberman story has to be very near the top of my wish list. I loved The Blue Tooth but I'd so love to hear such a thing in full cast. I think I'm much more surprised than disappointed that they aren't doing one, seemed like a very 50 years of Cybermen / 3rd Doctor full cast kind of thing to do. This really is amazing news though - I've been hoping for Vol 2 to be announced and here they've announced the 3rd volume already too. Plus the picture of Katy hugging Tim is so adorable I wonder if I'll be able to go the whole weekend without making an addition to my tragically understocked Iris Wildthyme collection. :-)

The whole 50th anniversary or the Cybermen has been relatively muted so far. The Tenth Planet did originally air in October though, so I suspect there will be more when we reach October this year. The re-release of Cyberman is great though, as many people were asking on the old forum for Cyberman 2 to be repressed, and now they can get the whole set in one package.

I'm looking forard to this. Hope they attempt it without the Narration though Dorney confirmed on Monday that "Its Gone"
in fact the News story itself says:
"Each volume will feature two full-cast adventures presented without narration."

I too wish there was a Cyberman story. Big Finish have missed a golden opportunity there. Hopefully they'll do it for the inevitable fourth volume.

For some reason I thought we knew stories for both volumes but it's only two stories in volume two that they have announced so far.

I'm starting to wonder if a dirty recording booth was Levene's *only* objection. Surely, there must have also been some kind of personality clash involved?

Can anyone clarify the exact nature of Levene's complaints for me? Up until now I've read of a complaint about dirty mics, but being a bit of a germophobe and audiophile both I've never been able to quite figure out if that's dirty as in unhygienic or dirty as in poor audio quality. Either one seems easy enough to mend come to think of it.

I remember being quite on the fence about vol.1 but it turned out to be damn good so there will be no hesitation in getting these two this time.
Add me me to the list of wanting a Cyberman story

A new series monster story independent of Classic Doctors, New Monsters would be fun too. I'd like to hear the 3rd Doctor take on the Clockwork Droids.

A Cyberman story in volume three or up would be great, as long as there's a decent hook for the Cybermen. Sometimes the usual MO isn't good enough.
