Lethal Weapon 1 is on tv now- still a better love story than Twilight- better chemistry between the leads. Crazy to me, to think that the character of Roger Murtaugh is only 5 years older than what I am now.

Kathleen Turner movie? I saw this as a new release, shees I must have been about 10(?) .
That's the one. That's quite a sultry night out at the movies for a ten year old lol. I did not exist at its time of release.

Spontaneous, a fun blackly comic rom com about two teenagers who start dating just as their fellow classmates begin spontaneously exploding.

Yesterday I watched 'Yuma'. Whilst I'm not really a fan of westerns (and I had it playing in the background for some of the runtime), that was a fun enough way of spending a lunchtime...
After work this evening I've been watching: Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them - I've kind-of been avoiding this one (I've never really seen the 'point' in it), but, you know what? I enjoyed it more than I thought I would...
The Snow Queen: Mirror Lands - 'Finished this a few minutes ago and, for the most part I enjoyed it fine enough, but the ending was certainly... Gainax. "power of magic", blah blah blah, aaaaaaand suddenly the bad guy has a mech-suit. Because reasons? I had considered seeing this one morning during one of my days off in, I think, August, but, well, whilst I did (mostly) enjoy it, I'm certainly glad that I didn't pay £11-odd to see it!
As it's 'only' 10pm, I might watch something else before bed, but it would depend on what I'm in the mood for (in a few minutes I'm planning on watching part 4 of the Doctor Who story 'The Romans')

Scream (1996)
Thought I’d give the original a rewatch after learning that they are apparently doing a fifth one. Or a reboot? I don’t know. Who knows what goes on in the mind of Hollywood executives? Nothing good I’d imagine.
Still very good but it has dated a lot in some ways.

Tonight was Ant-Man and the Wasp. Those stories and the characters are a hot riot. I love Ant-Man's daughter. And man that Luis can tell a story.

Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure Surprisingly I have never seen the Bill and Ted movies before! I liked this, not my favorite 80’s time travel movie ( I am more of a Back to The Future/Time Bandits kind of girl), but it was charming and silly enough to win me over. I thought Bill and Ted’s totally radical way of speaking would get on my nerves but it grew on me! I bet someone on their production team had to be a whovian since the time machine is a telephone booth! Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey I can’t decide if it was better than the first one or not, but I did appreciate how all out bizarre this one is! I love the all the games they play with the Grimm Reaper, especially when they play Twister!😂 Also love weirdly Burtonesqe sequences when they go to their own personal hell! The effects on the evil robots were genuinely creepy! I also loved the weird alien from Mars and the good robots! Side note: Is it weird that a lot of the humor in Bill and Ted remind me of Red Dwarf? Just something about the vibe of the sci-fi and fantasy elements seems similar 🤔 Company of Wolves Genuinely haunting dark fairytale! A lot of this movie remind me of the musical Into the Woods, as well as Labyrinth, Legend, and Valerie and her week of wonders. Despite being horror the atmosphere of this movie is oddly very peaceful and serene. I love the atmosphere of this and the weird dream logic that creeps in! Like the giant toys when the sister is running from the wolves and the odd little modern touches here and there. Loved Angela Lansbury as the grandmother! The first werewolf transformation scene is something else, I don’t think I will forget it anytime soon! Also loved the dark comedy of the weeding scene! Some scenes were a bit hard to watch knowing the girl who played Rosalee was actually 12 years old when she filmed the movie but she acted very well in the part! Oddly the wolves once they were fully transformed seemed almost too cuddly to be scary, they just looked like big lap dogs to me! Glad I watched this! Side note: Out of curiosity, anyone watch the other Angels Carter movie, The Magic Toyshop? youtu.be/-JGrIvdrTQM

Nosferatu. Wow, I have been missing out all my life. If I’d seen this as a kid, I’d STILL be sleeping with a night light! I can really see why this film is so iconic - a lot of it holds up surprisingly well! My favorite bit had to be when Hutter finds Orlok resting in his coffin. OR that moment when Orlok raises from his coffin to face the ship’s mate! I also really love the sequence when Orlok’s carrying around his coffin full of dirt for a different reason - it’s kind of hilarious! He gives off less of this terrifying vampire vibe and more of a college freshman on move-in day kinda vibe. I love it! The score on the Kino Classics Blu-ray edition is phenomenal. I watched a different version of the film before this and the score there was serviceable, but it didn’t capture the happenings on screen so perfectly like this one. Overall, I’m very glad I finally got around to watching this one. This is going to be a film I revisit many, many times in the future, I have no doubts about it.

I bet someone on their production team had to be a whovian since the time machine is a telephone booth! The story goes that it was going to be a time-travelling van, but the execs nixed that as being too close to BTTF, so the production crew submitted a phone box instead. I’m not sure if there was any sense of irony in it or not...

I only watched it for the first time a couple of years ago and I loved it! The story is a blatant rip-off of Dracula (Stoker’s estate sued) but it is so stylishly done that it really is its own thing.

I can really see why this film is so iconic - a lot of it holds up surprisingly well! Agree, it's a truly iconic film and an absolute classic of the genre. And decades later, its undying memory rose from the shadows and spawned a film based around the making of 'Nosferatu', which is also very well worth seeing. 'Shadow of the Vampire' (2000). An ingenious 'making of' movie with a great cast and a really good film in its own right. Highly recommended, try to see it spoiler-free if you can!

Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004)
A film I remember seeing in cinemas at the time. (Blimey, I’m getting old...) A bit closer to the tone of the original cartoon then its predecessor although it does still have some strange moments in it.
It’s worth a watch for the novelty of seeing recognisable Scooby Doo villains brought to life on the silver screen although I do question why some monsters were chosen over others. I mean, no Space Kook? Or the Creeper? At least they got the Pterodactyl Ghost I suppose.

Yesterday I watched "Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150AD" for the first time in about ten years (I saw it on the big-screen at the BFI, when it was followed by a Q&A with Bernard Cribbins), and I adored it, I really did...
At the moment I'm wrapping up 'Searching' before I head out to work, which I've enjoyed more than I thought I would.
