The climax was originally going to be with the Marines doing battle with and killing the Spinosaurus, hence why they appear at the end for what was ultimately a five person extraction (Alan, Paul Kirby, Amanda Kirby and Eric Kirby, as well as Billy, recovered off-screen), and why the Spino was last seen slinking away from the fire at the river (petrol from the punctured gas tank on the boat and a flare gun). It's a pity no one had a flare gun in the first encounter with the Spino, when it's attacking the wreckage of the cabin of the plane. Shooting a flare in its mouth could at least have wounded it where it would hurt, even if the Spino became extra determined to eat them. I'd find it hard to eat with the inside of my mouth all hot, let alone stomping around, chasing and eating people. Since the film only runs at 90 odd minutes, it's not like timing would have been an issue. Heard rumours they ran out of money, surelyhow much the first two movies made you'd think that wouldn't have really been a issue, that climax sounds excellent & would've improved the film. The military coming in a killing dinosaurs has a precedent in the original novel, where the Costa Rican airforce (which doesn't actually exist in real life) firebombs Isla Nublar. This gets a mention in Jurassic Park: The Game (a group of different people navigating the Park during the crisis and having their own dinosaur encounters separate from the movie characters), but since Jurassic World features the T-Rex and the Visitor's Center from Jurassic Park the movie, that obviously didn't happen.

Finally saw Inside Out...a very cute movie.
I ended up enjoying the scenes with Riley more than the moments with the emotions though.

It's not a movie, I know, but the fam & I just finished the animated Carmen Sandiego series from the 1990s. Season 3 (of 4) was weak, but the others had really good stuff. I wish there were more.

And also Joe Johnston the Director, threw out the original script a few weeks before filming started so he rushed the writing of a new script, taking unused bits from previous scripts and books

Because I'm a total going to sell the blog I've been desperately trying to keep on about. walkingoncelluloid.blogspot.com/I finally put pen to Paper about my thoughts on Spectre. Even if I'm more critical talking about it. I really did like the movie, and am really baffled by the negative reaction it's gotten in the States.

Koyaanisqatsi, La Haine and Powaqqatsi, all strongly recommended (although I prefer Koyaanisqatsi to Powaqqatsi).

The latter But it fills a gap for the non-region free. I would pick up the Scream but I lament doing so when it may come to Arrow or 101 at some point.

Terminator 5. I was a bit nervous to see it. The trailer ruined the plot twist and I wasn't too hot on some of the casting, however I wound up enjoying it pretty well. It's entertaining and while it does retread a lot of familiar ground, it at least does so with a twist that helps to keep things fresh. Overall I'd put it as better than 4, about on par with 3, and not as good as 2 or 1. The first Terminator is one of my favorite films of all time, so any sequel is going to have a lot to live up to. That in mind, I'm alright with the 5th one.

Somehow when a guy decides to watch The Lizzie Maguire Movie with you, it doesn't make you fall in love with him.
