Channel 5 in the UK are showing it tonight as well. I've got the Blu-Ray so I won't watch it there. England are playing Italy on Channel 4 anyway.

Lost city What an enjoyable gem, knowing mocking it’s self, purposely wasting its big name supporting cast, just a fun ride n had forgotten just how good Sandra bullock can be a comedy.
Excellent Saturday afternoon movie, with shades of romancing the stone but actually a lot more fun than that.

Was back on Sea Of Tranquilitys Monsters Den series to discuss Top 5 Mario Bava films. So horror hounds, assemble! Timelord007 That's this afternoon entertainment sorted. Black Sunday & Black Sabbath two excellent movies, i didn't know there was 2 cuts of Black Sabbath that peaked my interest in buying the blu ray. A selection of great movies my friend, you certainly know your movies.

Lightyear - Loved this. I was surprised how straightforward and conventional it was, but I think it works to its advantage. Really embraces the 80s sci-fi vibe, albeit gorgeously animated and with the budget to boot. It doesn’t lean on Toy Story too much and I quite enjoyed the blurred lines between fiction and reality. You could just imagine that Andy had this on VHS and wore his copy out. Then some toy manufacturer launched an accompanying animated series, taking elements they liked and exaggerating others to sell the product, with Pizza Planet sponsorship in the form of the aliens, of course!
Wouldn’t be against a continuation of sorts on Disney+. Once again, mirroring the direct-to-video and blurring the lines that little bit more. Hope that Buzz Lightyear of Star Command debuts on the service following the release of Lightyear.

"Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers" - not a great movie, perhaps, but I was smiling the whole way through. I was VERY surprised to see that they {Spoiler} licensed characters from rival studios. And let's face it, the more times we get Marvel and DC characters in the same story, the more chance we have of it being done properly in future!

Hello everyone! Saw 'Lightyear' yesterday. No spoilers, but I was very disappointed by it. 'Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins' is a better movie than that. Tim

The remake of "Firestarter" . Seriously what was the point? I am old enough to have seen the original as a new release video, Drew is the same age as me. The original was better in every way, haven't seen it in well over 35 years. Might need to watch that as a palate cleanser.

New vid (more vids these days than a 90s Blockbuster Video)
This was a BLAST. A roundtable rank vid of Dario Argentos "Animal" threesome (blimey..sounds rude).
Please sub to Ryan as not only is this vid wonderful (Im on it) but we are making many more!! John, Tyler, Ryan and I have different tastes and personalities but I think its a REAL fab team. All sexy AF too.
So - watch, like, share, sub (I never do this bit for my vids...but Ive always govt a friends back) - Ryan puts out massively varied content. And he stumbled on the idea of doing some cinema flicks on top of all his music picks. Well...great minds! 😉

Hello everyone! Just saw 'The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement' on Disney+. The late Stan Lee of Marvel fame makes a cameo in the film. I-I don't...WHAT?!!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXG6_SRXqJ8Can someone please explain to me what Stan Lee is doing in this movie? It's a Disney film made in 2004 and Disney hadn't bought Marvel yet. 'The Princess Diaries 2' isn't a Marvel superhero movie, so why is he there? The only explanation I can come up with is that Stan Lee ended up at the wrong wedding and was supposed to be at Mary Jane's wedding in 'Spider-Man 2'. It's just so random! Tim

Tim I believe Stan and the director were buddies, so he did it as a favour for his friend. Not completely certain about that though so don't take my half-remembered film trivia as gospel

Rewatched "Multiverse of Madness" on D+, enhanced with the use of my Dimensions in Time 3D glasses. Only for a couple of scenes, becuase my eyes water if I use them too long, but they certainly enhance some of the CGi bits.
But it's shocking to consider that these 3D glasses are almost as old now as Doctor Who was when they were produced....

The Batman. I freely admit- this was slog for me to get through. It took me three attempts. It is very dark, brutal and utterly without humor. This might be the darkest Batman movie yet. Visually, yes, it is stunning, at least the parts you can see and that are not shrouded in darkness. I am still not a fan of Pattison in the role- before going into the movie, I just thought "oh great, emo Batman". Well, I was right on target with that. This is basically Batman, emo style. I also do not think Andy Serkis is the right choice for Alfred. However, having read the comics this is based on (Long Halloween et al. ), the guys who play the gangsters, especially Falcone, are perfectly cast and look like the gangsters in the comics. I give the movie credit that it is a good movie, it is very analytical and delves deep into the psyche of both Batman and the villains.
It is just not my cup of tea.
