With Little Miss Sunshine I knew the moment someone said "no one gets left behind" someone would.
I fully agree on Jurassic Park 3, but you didn't mention the Bird Cage or how awesome Eric is!
I'll definitely be using your blog to procrastinate!

I'll definitely be using your blog to procrastinate! Thanks. Yes, the bird cage is such a well shot action sequence. I love the foggy aesthetic with the cinematography and I hope Jurassic World will do something similar with its sequel. Eric's a fun character too with his dinosaur obsession; he's probably the best of the supporting characters in Jurassic Park 3.

He survived two months by himself, avoiding the more dangerous dinos and learning how to fend them off. He does more to help than both his parent combined (not the hardest of things to do). The creepiest thing about the Bird Cage is when Eric sees a tall looming figure coming through the fog. You can't blame him for freaking out then.

Honestly, I think that would be enough to traumatise anyone in the same way Alan Grant was traumatised by the events of Jurassic Park. I'd like to see them bring Alan Grant back actually at some point; it would be interesting to see Sam Neill return to the franchise alongside Jeff Goldblum.

I'm a big fan of the Lego games TT have made, from Star Wars up to The Avengers. They're far more enjoyable on consoles (or PC for me) because you can have more fun with exploration and smashing objects for studs. Batman 3 and Marvel Superheroes are the best in terms of how many characters you can unlock and variety of abilities (with Star Wars and Harry Potter there are a huge number of combinations to get all the required abilities to collect everything in any given level). The Avengers doesn't quite have as many characters because it's limited to the MCU, which can't use characters from properties like X-Men and Fantastic Four. Significant firsts: Lego Star Wars (2005) - First game that TT developed, and the gameplay is still used with the latest games Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 (2010) - First use of the big world hub, specifically Diagon Alley and Hogwarts Castle. Star Wars used Mos Eisley Cantina and Batman the Batcave, but they weren't expansive environments and didn't offer much besides purchasing characters and red brick abilities or accessing levels. Indiana Jones 2 did sort of try this out, with six different areas to collect things in, including vehicles. Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes (2012) - First use of voice actors for the characters. Previously and speech was a sort of Simlish, or unintelligible gibberish. Lego Jurassic World has a great feature where in the character select screen it tells you what each character can do. It definitely helps if you're looking for a specific ability to deal with a specific puzzle. You also can store recently used characters so if you need to switch between three there's no need to go back to the character selection screen. Minor note, but are you able to link to the posts you specify rather than the home page?

Yeah, the console versions definitely offer a bigger and more complete experience. I like the handheld versions for the 'pick up and play' aspect and it's a cheaper alternative if the license being covered is one you know you will be the only player of in your household, however the console takes certainly deliver a lot more content and things to do once you have completed the game. Oh yeah, I can. I'll remember to do that in future.
