This being called The NEW Counter-Measures, who thinks that it will be a jumping on point? Absolutely. Isn't jumping on points this year's theme?

Stands to reason, BF getting Tennant would draw he attention of new listeners, so ensuring that all the ranges are easy to get into around the same time is a clever business move.

All but series 4 work well on their own, while that one ties up loose ends and is a finale for the box sets. If you want a flavour of Counter-Measures, there's The Assassination Games with the Seventh Doctor and Ace from the Main Range or one story from Worlds of Doctor Who.

Ok, I'm not one to usually gripe about the length of a story, as long as it's a good one, BUT......man, I was hoping for a real boxed set. Now, I didn't remember the price of this and when I just looked at it it makes sense. It's priced as a shorter story, but I just really love this range and I've gotten used to boxed sets. I hope that when I get to listen to it I don't care anymore because the story is just amazing.

I enjoyed these (as ever - it's one of my favourite ranges). I wasn't sure how 1970s it felt apart from the news items. Did anyone else have any thoughts about this?
As a reset / jumping-on point I felt it ticked all the boxes.

This was absolutely and utterly Brilliant! A thrill a minute moving at a fast pace! And I loved the incidental music. Giving it a 60s 70s crime thriller atmosphere (They don't make em like they used too!)Mind you! I still prefer the original theme tune. Really enjoyed the extras too.All the cast sounded so enthusiastic and happy to be part of the series. Look forward to the Boxset!!

What a cracking story! I want more and don't want to wait until December.
I'm not sure the music fully captured the 70's vibe, it tried, but I think it tried a little too hard. At points it seemed to me that the music didn't really capture the 60's or the. 70's.
I agree with Tony, the news was pretty accurate for the time.

Trying not to read any spoilers, but is this as newbie friendly as they say it is and would I be able to listen to it without listening to the first 4 box sets.

Listened to episode one so far and a great start, but that new theme tune is jarring (it needs to be a bit subtler). masterdoctor , there's brief mention about a previous plotline and some flashbacks but nothing that will stop you listening to this story as a jumping on point (altho' it would obviously be better if you'd heard the previous ones ). Cheers Tony
