Absolutely brilliant all the way through! I particularly loved Planet X and The Very Dark Thing. I'm VERY hopeful this isn't the last we hear of David Warner's Doctor.
I also really loved the music suite for this one. I don't usually listen to them, but this just stood out as particularly brilliant! And the theme - marvelous!
I'm definitely listening to this box set all the way through again!

Do you need to listen to the two unbound adventures with David Warner before listening to this box set?

My only complaint, that Sam Kisgart chap was underused.

My only complaint, that Sam Kisgart chap was underused. They had to lure him back to the recording booth every couple of minutes with a trail of Tim-tams and liquorice.... It got too expensive to keep him around for long.

Heard the first story - could hardly go wrong with David Warner and Lisa Bowerman to introduce me to Unbound stories. Have to say I really enjoyed it (and it didn't take nearly as much getting used to as I was worried it might). Can we get a lyric sheet for those curious hymns so we can join in? Loved this - quirky and brilliant. Even Sam Kisgart produces a half-decent performance (listen to the extras!) Aye, I've heard this guy Kisgart is passable. Certainly no Mark Gatiss, mind you, but I suppose he'll do in a pinch.

Love the theme song it really has a glassy sound. I attended a recital of glass armonica once, they even let me try at the end and it sounds a lot like that. Listened to the first story so far, found the singing nuns irritating, but the premise of the story was good. I thought the cyborg character was great, how his different parts kept wearing out. Did anyone else hear Bernice mention Norton Folgate toward the beginning?

And I totally agree about the music suite. I usually skip over the music suite, but this set has some really wonderful music.

I've had very little time to spend on this forum over the last few weeks, but I had to make sure that I got on here to say how much I LOVED this set. I like Benny and have been listening to a lot of her audios lately. That being said, her ranges have not been a must listen for me, but this set might just change that. Everyone was terrific in it, and as annoying as the singing nuns were, I thought they were a riot. I hope we see Mother Superior again. A great character.
Ok, back to busy, real world stuff for me.
