I've listened to the first two series of Dorian and couldn't get into it. As for the rest of the characters, they are one I honestly didn't like when they appeared in Doctor Who. I've been basically in the same boat. Mainly interested in Benny. Have enjoyed what Sherlock I've listened to. I've mostly enjoyed the Iris Wildthyme I've listened to, though I didn't like the character at all when she first appeared in books. However, Katy Manning's performance as Iris is quite good. No interest in Vienna and Dorian, from what I've heard of them. Might get into Graceless at some point. All of which is pretty much why I haven't bought this release up to now. Based on the above, I acrually think you'll love it. The episodes with characters I wasn't into were carried by the ongoing storyline.

I'll probably get it eventually. But it's not a priority for me.

Well I didn’t really know anything about this release and don’t know how many others have heard it. I found it on E Bay and thought well no risk there for £5.
Funnily the thing that interested me was the Vienna and Bernice story/s. There is an overall arc and all by same author, that I didn’t know, didn’t look hard enough as usual it’s high standard. So far it has grabbed my attention and am now onto Bernice.David really should write more Vienna he seems to be very good with the genre.
Well all I can say is...I want MORE VIENNA and Bernice an they can throw in David Warner’s Doctor too
and now I will go listen to what Abby Zara Sherlock Mycroft Iris and Dorian have to do with the tale....you know what why the hell haven’t they come up with a decent theme tune for Bernice she more than deserves it

Graceless-the Archive
Actually the first time I have enjoyed Abby and Zara good dramatic ending to the story without spoiling anything.Let’s see if Nick Briggs’ Holmes can keep up the drama lol😂🤭
Sherlock Holmes-The Adventure Of The Bloomsbury Bomber
well with no Earl to assist we have the fantastic David Warner as Mycroft one of them is a damn fine actor 😂😂😉🤭 I know he was in All Consuming Fire but I have to accept with BF that the creation and the creator exist is Doctor Who’s universe in mines only Arthur Conan Doyle exists lol The thing about Nick is I do not mind him as Holmes at all but in my mind he is cemented in that role in BF releases it’s when he sneaks into other releases without his voice disguised I just get completely taken out of any drama.John Dorney and Barnaby Edwards are in this box set but they have a knack of never sounding the same in each release so you do not immediately go John Dorney oh that is Adam Dean from Omega
Well that wasn’t bad tbh and there’s a wee snippet after the closing music of the next tale the wonderful Dorian Gray.
The Confessions of Dorian Gray-The Feast Of Magog What can I say?Dorian is Dorian...you come out of the story just near the end for a little bit before it’s time for
Iris Wildthyme-Kronos Vad’s History of Earth(vol36,379)

This was a lot of fun! Other than Dorian, I'd never really gotten into the other characters or their ranges over the years. Still, I was curious and I got my copy at low price via Humble Bundle. David Llewellyn is a rockstar here. I was really impressed by how he effortlessly shifted between styles and voices for each episode - the self-contained stories maintained very distinct tones and moods, and the pacing was great for a casual fan like myself. I got a real sense of the different characters and styles, and even if I wasn't particularly hooked or otherwise invested (I never got into Graceless and Vienna on their own), they still held my attention and didn't wear out their welcome. Amazing work! The overall story was nothing spectacular, but as with old school comic book superhero team-ups, it just needed to be fun and engaging and it did just that. It also encouraged me to go check out some more Dorian Gray (at the time, I only had the first series and the freebies). This is also one of the rare series where the extra material was worth listening to. Unlike the Doctor Who interviews where the subjects often seem like they're trying to be polite and trot out variations on the same four stock replies, this cast sounded genuinely engaged with the characters and material, and were clearly having a blast being together and recording the stories. It was interesting to hear how the writer approached the task (and how it changed from the original concept). I loved the outtakes as well. The cast and crew sounded like they all sincerely cared (as opposed to just doing a gig) and that made all the difference in the end result. That enthusiasm comes through. I'm guessing this is a one-shot deal, but I enjoy short stories like this and would support another volume if they were able to put one together.

It works well with its overall arc.David does each of the characters justice I really enjoyed HIS Dorian and also His Benny and definitely his Vienna.I think the Dorian was the darker tale as expected and Iris was well Iris.Let’s be honest I will get the download now as I definitely enjoyed the Bernice and Vienna one and it’s got relistening value and will look forward to the extras 👍👍👍

Well, I bought this on a very good sale a long time ago and finally got around to listening to it. And I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected, in spite of the negativity I apparently expressed upthread. I thought they did a nice job of bringing together the characters of various Big Finish ranges and creating a coherent story line. I really enjoyed listening to it, much to my surprise. And I got a kick out of the interviews and extra material at the end
