Just a question,
But why can't you use the lead miniatures without being painted
We never painted Ours in the 80s for use with the game, for me I'm not sure About the Lego men.

Because...
I am a trained prop and model maker. It would mess with my head to not paint them.
This way it's more... imagination friendly.
After all they're just tokens to represent game play

I'd go with Pathfinder actually. Elkawho, the Pathfinder Legends audios are dramatisations of adventure books. Really gives a feel of how the narrative of the game works when compared with the printed scenario. I'm assuming they're compatible with 5th, well they were with 3rd, anyone?

Well I'm only part way through the second series (because I can't BUY everything) But I enjoyed the first one. The opener for series 1 was a little flat due to having to sort out the mental scenery (I'm not used to fantasy on audio) and getting to know the characters, it picks up on a second listen. Skinsaw was genuinely creepy and a good listen, the rest on that series were of similar quality. I enjoyed them enough to start on the second series anyway  As I said above, if anyone is running the Runelords adventure for the Pathfinder system then listening to how the narrative works is a lovely guide to how it could be run. Just don't expect your players to behave ANYTHING like the characters. |

After all they're just tokens to represent game play I am not saying it's not good to paint em, it's just when I had spent the last 12 hours with painting, mixing milliput, chewing moss, destroying other figures for bits to create our master piece the last thing we wanted to do was push it round some grubby chipboard with whiteboard marker all over it! an old work colleague, who is currently in japan uses a 50" flat-screen to display his digital floorplans on and 3d printed figures! some people hey! I haven't played in 25 years (I was always a MERP and then Rolemaster player), to be honest Computer games became more fun than all the Dice and photocoping & more time playing too. |

However I thought it may be a break from screen time and also use more... numbers etc.

Update.
Second gaming session went well.
Thanks to dice. My really good theif npc has been a bit useless.
The elves are doing fine.
