What are some quotable lines from Doctor Who that you have seen, read or heard recently?
A few from The Twin Dilemma are currently on my mind:
Peri: "That's the seediest looking stately home I've ever seen."
Mestor: "I tire of the disadvantages of my own being."
Azmael: "Continue to provoke me and the matter which contains your genius will end up as so much animal fodder!"

I was somewhat bullied in high school, one day I zinged said bully with a Boucherism "you're the perfect example of the inverse relationship between the size of the mouth and the size of the brain".

From Nightmare of Eden (a highly underrated story IMO): "What's the point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes?"
The same story also has: "Interfere? Of course we interfere. Always do what you're best at, that's what I always say."

Surprisingly, the first quote I found while flipping through my phone's notepad was from Spaceport Fear (which I heard ages ago):
"It's their ritual. She says 'I'm Mel, this is the Doctor' and he ignores everyone." "Got you sized up, hasn't she?"

Two Tom Baker quotes I can think of from the audios off the top of my heard are "Anonymity makes enemies of us all, even the best of us," from Last of the Colophon and "Religion's not the problem, it's how it's used," from The Devil's Armada.

Ace(?): "Doctor! We thought you were dead!"
Doctor: "No. Just pining for the fjords."

I thought that was "Robot". It is. Must have gotten it confused with Nightmare of Eden, which has another great quote about doing what you're best at.

Everyone probably knows this but anothermanicmondas has posted some really good ones to the "What Are You Listening to Today?" thread on a regular basis.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

From The Sound Of Drums:
"This country has been sick. This country needs healing. This country needs medicine. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that, what this country really needs, right now... is a doctor."
Great quote from the Master.

A fine speech from the Sixth Doctor to the Valeyard in Time's Champion:
"The fact is that I was afraid of you in the days and years following my trial, afraid of what I'd seen you do and how that reflected on me. I was disappointed, ashamed with myself over the possibility that there was enough evil seeded throughout my lives to give rise to something so abhorrent as you, especially when I realised how much of that aberration seemed evident in my own life.
But then I remembered who I was. Then things started to change for me. I resumed my travels; I took on new companions, who strengthened and inspired me, and I sought out the evils in the universe and fought them once more. I enjoyed myself again. But above all that, there was one thing in my mind which kept pushing me forward, one person always before me in my mind's eye which motivated me to be a little better, to be a little kinder, a little quieter, a little more myself. It was you, Valeyard. You, the very antithesis of my self, became the source of my redemption. You have made me more of who I am, and I am better for it. Do I fear you? No. For meeting you then and here today, I thank you.
You have made me the Doctor."

Despite knowing that he'll regenerate, seven's "it's far from being over" in "the last act" is excellent.

It has a tendency to get overlooked, but what finally convinces Grace to trust the Eighth Doctor in the TV Movie:
The Doctor: "Are you with me, Grace?" Grace: "We don't stand a chance." The Doctor: "[...] Grace, I came back to life before your eyes. I held back death. Look, I can't make your dream come true forever, but I can make it come true today.
And the effortlessly quotable Comic Book Adaptations with the Fourth Doctor. Two of my favourites from The Star Beast:
Zogroth: [suspicious] "...Are you thinking again?" Zreeg: [frantic] "No, sir! Never!"
The Doctor: [calling from the rooftops] "Science, Mrs Higgins! Science!"

My favourite acted and written scene in Who:
“Winning? Is that what you think it’s about? I’m not trying to win. I’m not doing this because I want to beat someone, or because I hate someone, or because I want to blame someone. It’s not because it’s fun. God knows it’s not because it’s easy. It’s not even because it works because it hardly ever does.. I DO WHAT I DO BECAUSE IT’S RIGHT! Because it’s decent! And above all, it’s kind! It’s just that.. Just kind. If I run away today, good people will die. If I stand and fight, some of them might live. Maybe not many, maybe not for long. Hey, you know, maybe there’s no point to any of this at all. But it’s the best I can do. So I’m going to do it. And I will stand here doing it until it kills me. And you’re going to die too! Some day.. And how will that be? Have you thought about it? What would you die for? Who I am is where I stand.. Where I stand is where I fall. Stand with me. These people are terrified. Maybe we can help a little. Why not, just at the end, just be kind?"
It's a sensational mission statement from Moffat about the raison d'etre of The Doctor. Why he does what he does. And like Michelle Gomez, Capaldi gets more Glaswegian as his anger grows which adds to the piece. The way he barks "it's DECENT", pure (Space) Glasgow. And speaking of Gomez, her and Simm have to be up to it for the reaction shots. Both have to seed that they might just be persuaded. Missy in particular given her arc.
Just wonderful Who and...sorry, I'm not trying to be a hater, we ain't seen anything half this good written for Jodie, or giving her something like that to act with. You can say what you will about Moffat...he could write defining speeches. Thinking of The Zygon ep or Rings Of Ahkaten.

I like to think the Simms Master actually was coming around to helping the Doctor until he changed his mind at the last minute. Just couldn’t bear the thought that his old enemy might be right I suppose.
