I don't see what the big news is either. It's been listed on the site as "Series 1" for a while, so it's no surprise that it now has its' own section.
IIRC Big Finish decided to label all their first releases as Volume 1 (or Series 1), following the unplanned expansion of Dark Eyes into a series of 4 releases when it was originally only going to be the one. (Hence, no numeral on the first box set)
I liked the original cover that they were displaying for this. But I like this one too.
Looking at the cover, it has the same rough problem I have with the New Adventures of Bernice Summerfield. The cover looks more like The Eight Doctor Adventures: The Diary of River Song. The Doctor is front and center of the box. Like the first release of Benny's new Adventures, Benny is off center to the Tardis, and the Seventh Doctor is much larger on the cover.
It may be a bit nitpicky, but it feels that way.
Agreed. It's a bit misleading really; if I wanted an 8th Doctor adventure, I'd buy an 8DA, Dark Eyes or Doom Coalition. River Song's box set should be about River Song primarily and the other characters in supporting or recurring roles.
I have autism and sometimes that can affect the way I post come across. No offense EVER intended.
