I had often thought it would be a good idea to have a like function on a forum. So many times I've agreed with someone's post and thought it'd be great if I could let the poster know that I agree with their sentiment or find their post amusing without having to post to say so. The little like/thumbs up on this forum is perfect. Give me a thumbs up if you agree

I guess I'm too old to relate to "like" functions. Okay, maybe I'm just too cynical... but the very thought of myself publicly "endorsing" something in such a manner makes me extremely wary of targeted advertising and spam. That is the main reason that I don't recall that I have ever "liked" anything.

Too old? That's just silly. Age has nothing to do with it.

How old is too old out of interest? I'm not really a spring chicken myself, I'm now wondering if I should be steering clear of the like button ?

LOL Tony.
As for "Likes" - I do not mind them in a local manner. It is just when you say "I LIKE BIG FINISH RELEASE 201" to the top of your lungs that I start to wonder if it's good idea to join in . (basically, I don't "like" things that get blasted over facebook and that kind of thing)
Now for a bit of levity.... I was extremely tempted to post this... which includes the quote: "XLIV, why don't you just say XLIV, who can remember 'Forty Four' " - a wonderful comedy skit by the Frantics.
