Here's hoping things don't get delayed too long regarding that. I know Volume 2 has been pushed back to November and I anticipate that it will be released then, but I have a suspicion that Volume 3 is going to be pushed back further than February next year. They're going to have do to a lot of workarounds that the original series outline wouldn't have included, so I hope they'll be able to pull this off without it being too obvious. It's maybe not that big of a problem, other than for the climax of the arc in episode 12. Going by the Crossfire box sets, some episodes only use 2 or 3 main cast members, so it is quite feasible for them to have a number of episodes without Avon appearing. So I guess that the episodes they have in the can with Avon will be spread more thinly across volumes 2 and 3 rather than just volume 2. Crossfire was a mix of arc and filler episodes, and if Restoration is similar then they may pull a filler episode back from vol 3 into vol 2 and move an arc episode from vol 2 into 3 so Avon is participating in the arc the whole way through. The only major problem will be the climax of the arc in episode 12, because it has to be a rest button in some ways, in order to leave the crew back where we find them in the TV episode Terminal. It would be hard to do that episode without Avon appearing in some way, so they may have to edit in dialogue recorded for other episodes or form the archive.
The other potential problem is that Avon may not have been in all 4 episodes of vol 2, he was only in 2 episodes of Crossfire vol 1, so they may not have that many Avon episodes to work with in the first place.
I hadn't thought of reworking the episode orders. Like you say though, they mightn't have many episodes to play around with. It'll be interesting to see what they end up doing.

If you're comfortable answering, what were the stories that helped you back out? Fifth Doctor Cobwebs, Whispering Forest & Cradle of the Snake & Fifth Doctor Stockbridge trilogy. These two trilogys just took my imagination on a journ away from how i was feeling inside, emotionally cut off, alone & afraid. I don't think it's the particular stories it was the escapism that they gave me. I first got into Big Finish during the early quarter of 2003 shortly after moving four times, losing my job, one of my cats dying, being burgled and suffering anxiety as a result. They always say cults get you when you're down don't they? Seriously though the escapism offered is second to none when it is needed the most. I found myself listening to the Eighth Doctor Adventures during some very stressful flat renovations, and it's far from being my favourite range.

I try to listen to most stuff as soon as I can after I get it, I am typically about a month behind on new releases. I listen whilst commuting and my commute duration means I can do 1 CD per day. Hence I can just about stand still in terms of my backlog. Occasionally I listen to non-BF stuff for a while and my BF backlog grows I don't listen to Dark Shadows, Avengers and Classics straight away - not really sure why. I tend to pick these ranges up in sales, rather than pre-order, and for some reason they never become a priority listen Finally, there are those I prefer to listen to in one go, thus I held off God Among Us until I had all 3 box sets and I will hold off B7 Restoration until I have all 3Here's hoping things don't get delayed too long regarding that. I know Volume 2 has been pushed back to November and I anticipate that it will be released then, but I have a suspicion that Volume 3 is going to be pushed back further than February next year. If I recall correctly Avon is in a very silent, secretive mood during Terminal. In a odd way Darrow's absence in set 3 could play into this - Avon disappears and when found/returns could just head off to his cabin without saying anything to anyone, or just using a line or two of pre-recorded dialogue. I haven't heard Restoration yet so don't know how much of a part Avon has to play in the arc but I can't imagine it being easy to replace him. Speaking of the theme of 'saving audios' I have none of the full cast box sets from the last few years and now without the major regulars they would be something to saviour.

I myself had/ have been suffering from both anxiety attacks and depression and it is amazing the relief some of these audio plays can bring to you. A long walk in nature with an audio plugged into your ears can be a life saver.

There are definitely some things I save up and then binge. Every Christmas holiday I listen to a complete run of an 8th Doctor storyline. Last year it was Doom Coalition and the year before it was Dark Eyes. This year will be Ravenous. It's hard, waiting to hear them, but super fun when I have time off and I can just immerse myself in the story over the holiday. I also try to keep a few of my favorite Doctors releases unheard so that I can pop in a fresh one when the mood strikes me. I always have some new-to-me Four and Five on hand, and usually have at least a couple of every Doctor on standby.

I'm not sure I save audios so much as just develop a massive backlog. When I first got into Big Finish around the 50th anniversary, I just bought anything I didn't have every sale, and continued to do so for a good few years. So now I've got hundreds of 'em. At the time, my plan was to buy up the big arcs and shotgun them but it never really happened outside of Old Nyssa and Paul McGann up to Terror Firma or so.
So I only got around to listening to a small fraction of it, and until last week it had been close to a year since I listened to anything at all.

They certainly provide a distraction allowing the mind to visualize the story, I'm bipolar, manic depressive OCD anxiety sufferer & these full cast audios help me get through some very dark days when my depression hits.

I work about half the year, and my long drive there is when I listen (the only time I don't is in bad weather. Traffic, well, there is *some* but driving WY59 and WY450 is nothing like driving I-25 along the front range of Colorado)
All the series I mentioned above that I had not gotten around to yet, well I have now. At this point it's mostly Torchwood, Dark Shadows and Avengers that I've not gotten to.

Can't say I've ever saved any audios for later, Personally I don't see the point. But I have on occasion been listening to a really good one that I don't want to end, during those times I have dragged it out, or put off the final episode until a later time
