So isn't there a bit of a problem with "Repeat Offender"? If future-Doctor goes back and defeats The Whatsit, changing history such that he doesn't die AND it doesn't do the things it does during the visit shown in the episode, then the Doctor will have interfered in his own past. It's that one of the Prime No-Nos? (When future-him undoes the events that past-him went through and which we heard, that means the Whatsit is defeated, cannot frame past-him and cannot kill all the other people, therefore removing the reason for past-him to resolve to, once he becomes future-him, to go back and defeat the Whatsit......basic causal paradox). It was the most interesting one thus far, but also the most flawed plot-wise. It's almost a new series grade error, unless I missed something obvious. I absolutely agree. It just didn't ring true at all. I think a further draft was probably needed to clarify, perhaps these were only ever echoes of possible future Doctor, and the addition of a reason how that could be happening might have bulked the running time out as it was very short.

The Last Fairytale had a charming fable like quality to it. I love stories about storytelling. Just have a smile on my face after listening to this.

Totally agree with The Memory Bank, I loved the concept but the monster at the end kinda ruined it for me I enjoy audio Turlough, making snarky remarks every time they land, reluctant to get involved, I just love this guy! On TV he was simply missused, being lock up and so, but on audio it's a joy! I'm still pinning for a 5/Tegan/Turlough trilogy... I want that trilogy too. Season 21 has been criminally underused by Big Finish, especially in the last 8 years.

I really enjoyed these stories, although I've heard better anthology releases. I also love Turlough on audio. The Last Fairytale and The Memory Bank were my favorites. I loved the idea of Repeat Offender, and had a great time listening to it. The paradox didn't really occur to me until after the story and doesn't really affect my enjoyment of it. I thought The Becoming was a really interesting, lovely story.

Personally I was really disappointed with this release. They were great character pieces but they each had very little plot. After so long without a Doctor/Turlough story I wanted a Doctor/Turlough STORY. Would have preferred a regular, two hour release. Possibly a release with 2x 1-hour adventures if Big Finish did those.
I also see that the extended extras are still not available. Not to mention that Repeat Defender is apparently 218 in the bonus box. Hopefully the former will be released Thursday. Mostly because there isn't any other day to release it on. Jago and Litefoot 12 Wednesday, a new sale (probably) on Friday...

Possibly a release with 2x 1-hour adventures if Big Finish did those. wouldnt mind seeing these as a variant to the yearly 4 x 30 min anthology release

I think my issue with this release was the lack of any connection in the stores. Previous examples such as 1001 nights or You Are the Doctor felt more coherent whereas this actually came across as a set of short trips.
I enjoyed it a lot, it just didn't feel like a main range release.

Listened to this audio without falling asleep (hurrah) 4 enjoyable one parters, I'd love a sequel to the final story by Ian Potter.

I enjoyed it a lot, it just didn't feel like a main range release. None of the four short story releases feel like a proper main range release really as they lack the depth of one four part story, although I know what you mean re coherence. But on their own these stories were enjoyable enough. The Memory Bank was probably the best of this set for me, but none of them were bad.

Repeat Offender had an interesting concept but not enough Turlough Agreed. I love Turlough, so there never seems to be enough.

I sent an email to enquiries, asking about the extended extras. Here is their reply: We wish him well, too.

Really enjoyed The Becoming. I love when sci-fi creates new societies and this was quite an interesting glimpse at one in a 1/2 hr period.
Overall I would say my favorites in this set were the Last Fairytale & The Becoming.
More Five/Turlough Big Finish please!

I finally finished listening to this one while we were staying up late watching the election returns. I liked it. I'm not generally a fan of this format, but that was offset by Turlough, who is wonderfully nuanced in the Big Finish stories.
