This could be an expensive time for Torchwood pre-orders. Yes, yes it is. (still ordering everything, tho )

I reckon Jack & Jackie will be announced but it won't be a Torchwood release. What if Jackie is that "someone" who "finally dares to say 'No' to Captain Jack"? Not that I have any idea what the question might have been... Oh now there's a thought... While I'm hoping for some Ninth Doctor CC's, I'd also take Jackie guest starring in an episode of Torchwood...

I don't have any of the Torchwood releases yet but whilst I would be disappointed it's not a ninth Doctor 'Companion Chronicle' (in quotation marks because my guess is it would be called something else), I would definitely have to pre-order a Torchwood Jack & Jackie. That would be a must-have for me.

Oh Idk, I thought Night of the Whisper and The Oncoming Storm were both great, and, while I would of course prefer full-cast Ninth Doctor stories, until such a time comes that Eccleston decides to return to the role, I'll take the next best thing. That being said, I too would instantly pre-order a Jack & Jackie Torchwood release. It's just too good. I'd also be okay with it being similar to The Time Museum, where the bulk of it is a cast production, but with some CC-style reminiscing over a past adventure or two thrown into the mix for good measure.

'Companion Chronicles' would be a great way to get around the absence of new series Doctors who are too busy or don't want to return. It all depends on how busy the companions are (Karen Gillan for example is a pretty big film actor at the moment).

Does anyone know if this likely to be Volume 1 of a continuing series or a standalone boxset? I'm trying to decide how to file it (in my current naming system). All my Torchwood releases are (so far) in one folder, named as so: If it's a one-off special (and I suppose that depends on how well it sells), I could bung it in the same folder as a SP03-xx but if it's going to be a separate series (like new Unit), I'll create a new folder for Torchwood One and pop it in there. Any thoughts? I know, the trials of a semi-OCD fan Cheers Tony

Yay a new release. Well I haven't had a chance to listen to this yet but the release also includes a trailer for the Lives of Captain Jack. Exciting stuff.

This is going to be a marmite release I feel
Production value is high as always
TW One are absolutely ruthless and depending on your viewpoint evil
Ianto is a toady snake.
This is good as a one off I don't think its got legs as a continuing series as it shows just how "Bad" they were.

Just had time for part 1 this morning. Loved it, even though I am completely lost as to why Rachel did what she did. Perhaps this will become clear later.

It's a system that works great for when specials are mixed in between regular releases.
