I am simplifying to make the top page less cluttered

Just saw this now - looks like you'd already changed the original format to make this a bucket review area. At this point, that should suffice - we may need to revisit as things become more cluttered and expansive (they release quite a few stories per month, and depending how many review sites we have...
I would say that while the current setup works, it might be wiser/less messy to follow a similar standard to the old Big Finish forum - i.e. all reviews for each story (regardless of site) on the same page,
or instead of that, perhaps cluster Doctor Who, Pathfinders, Dark Shadows, and so forth (the other lines seem to be more sporadic and/or come and go - the McGann lines and Jago & Litefoot being the most consistent of a varied lot). So in this case, all Doctor Who stories would fall inside that main folder - even if you're leaving "as is" currently.
But this is all "reducing clutter", so to speak - so long as they're all falling under "reviews and sites" and users have the ability to search for a specific story past, the way you have it currently does work (i.e. listeners would be more likely to search out this or last month's stories than ones from 6 months ago, so chronological stacking is fair enough in that respect).

I thought the "external review thread" by release, like they had at BF, might be a good way to organize reviews, especially as we get more of them.

Yes, I agree with Ela as far as organizing reviews per individual title. However I also like to be able to scroll through entries from a single reviewer. This does mean a little extra work for those posting, but I think it's worth it.
