I've stuck it between Flight 405 and Hostile Environment for now, because I'm at a loss for where else it could go.

It’s probably worth asking James Goss tbh.

It’s probably worth asking James Goss tbh. I feel like I've done that enough to probably get on his nerves. I'll leave it for someone else this time.

Madam, I’m sits very comfortably between Goodbye Piccadilly and Parasite.
Basically Norton is working for Room 13, but for spoiler reasons let’s just say it’s pretty clear that this is before the events of Parasite.

You know, now that you mention it, I actually do rather like Attack of the Cybermen ...

Where do Ex Machina and Coffee fit? Coffee is spread across the entire first 3 seasons of Torchwood - virtually every scene would have its own specific chronological placement.

Also another thing I found out that I didn’t originally notice, there’s a whole scene in Parasite set during the events of The Idiot's Lantern. Basically Lizbeth was running the operation of kidnapping the faceless people as we saw glimpses of in the episode.
This part was set before the events of Goodbye Piccadilly, but then the next scene was set after Goodbye Piccadilly. So unless years pass between scenes I think that makes it somewhat more likely that GP takes place in 1953.
So: 1953 - Ghost Mission 1953 - The Torchwood Archive (Norton flashback) June 1953 - The Idiot's Lantern / Parasite flashback 1950s - Goodbye Piccadilly 1950s - Madam, I’m 1950s - Parasite 1955 - Outbreak 1957 - Norton boards Flight 405

I’ve not heard it myself, but the synopsis appears to place it during World War Two, which would mean it’s set roughly around the same time as The Dying Room.

Bilis sets up his own little exhibition of some of the artwork at the beginning of the story, saying that it would be a shame for all the art pieces to be boxed up for five years, so I'd say it takes place in 1940. Some time passes over the course of the story, but whether it's months or years I couldn't tell you. I'm not sure where that places it with regards to The Dying Room.

In The Great Sontaran War, there's a moment where Ianto mentions Jack, Gwen, and Tosh. So I'm going to use that as an opportunity to place it around the Owen/Andy quadrilogy and say he didn't mention Owen, because he was on another assignment.
And, obviously, Ashenden follows Parasite.

I’m beginning to wonder if the Torchwood Soho sets might be after GAU for Norton.
But then, it doesn’t feel like these sets are supposed to take place in the late 50s, so I don’t know.
It just feels as though Norton’s character has moved very much away from his earlier connection to the Committee.

I suppose it depends on weather We think Norton's a willing Agent of the Committee at all times. Playing them for survival. Or he plays everything to his own self-interest at all times. {So The Red List is complicated} There are plenty of references to 'wearing masks' and 'two weeks of quarantine when you go abroad', so maybe this is set in 2021?
Well..... Colchester also says the 'Dalek invasion' was 10 years ago. So maybe this is set in 2019?
And James Goss has explicitly said on Twitter that it's set in 2022, post-Covid.
