Not really interested in anything from this sale. Philip Hinchcliffe Presents is still prohibitively expensive, and that's not factoring in the increased postage and Per Order charge costs!

Thinking about getting the lost stories boxset, is it any good?

Thinking about getting the lost stories boxset, is it any good? The Foe From the Future is absolutely brilliant! The Valley of Death isn't as good, but it's not bad either

I'll probably be passing on this sale, I've got the first series of FDA and they were a bit of a mixed bag to be honest...any thoughts on S2+3?
I've been interested in the Novel adaptations for a while, but as someone who usually dosen't find the behind the scenes interviews that interesting and hasn't read these novels, is the limited edition really worth £20-£30 when I've seen the standard editions cheaper on Amazon marketplace...

Thinking about getting the lost stories boxset, is it any good? It's great, and half the price of the PHP set for the same amount of material. I'll be getting series 3 and the Gareth Roberts set.

I'll probably be passing on this sale, I've got the first series of FDA and they were a bit of a mixed bag to be honest...any thoughts on S2+3? Season two: Skip the two Nick Briggs two-parters and go for The Auntie Matter (a fun PG Wodehouse romp), Justice of Jalxar (Jago & Litefoot guest star and there's a steampunk robot) and Phantoms of the Deep (best use of K9 in the season) Season three: King of Sontar is an interesting Sontaran story and does something intriguing with the Doctor-Leela dynamic. Crooked Man is a proper scary story that for once doesn't spoil the twist in the marketing. Evil One does some interesting things with Leela, but is otherwise predictable. Last of the Colophon is properly Hinchcliffian, with a great performance by the late, great Gareth Thomas. The rest of the season is uninteresting, with the worst stories being Destroy the Infinite (rather underwhelming for the first time the Doctor meets the Eminence) and The Abandoned (Nigel Fair's usual standard of comprehensibility, that is not very).

Value for money wise The 4th doc lost stories and/or the NA vol 1 on DL are worthwhile and brilliant Personal favourites from 4DAs Season 1 Renaissance Man (Excellent verbal sparring from Tom and Ian McNeice) Wraith of the Iceni (One of the best historicals and Companion Character Pieces ever) The Trail of the Worm/ The Oeisdon Adventure (Excellent Cast) Season 2 The Sands of Life/The War Against the Laan, The Dalek Contract, The Final Phase (The Cuthbert Arc is definitely Nick Briggs best written work for the 4DA's and David Warner Tom and Mary Tamm all are on the ball (and the 1st 2 stories also star a pre Peggy Carter Haley Attwell if you didn't know) Phantoms of the Deep (Just a good solid entry) Season 3 King of Sontar (Worth it for the unexpected and brilliant final 10 minutes) The Crooked Man (Great old school scares and some good human drama) The Evil One (Average story Excellent performances) Last of the Colophon ( New appreciation for this one due to a recent Podcast reveal from Nick Briggs that it was the story that broke the last of the ice between him and Tom) Destroy the infinite (If you've got Dark Eyes Saga and are a completest get it) Zygon Hunt (Average but it does have a returning foe) Regards mark687

Filled the gaps I have in Season 3 of the 4DA. I know it's not compulsory to buy stuff, but it's been an expensive couple of weeks as a Big Finish customer. Curses to my lack of willpower to resist their tempting sales!

Ehh, not particularly keen on the 4th Doctor (*ducks for cover*) but hey, I'm a completist, so I may get Series 2 (got Series 1 last time it was on sale)

Philip Hinchcliffe Presents is still prohibitively expensive, and that's not factoring in the increased postage and Per Order charge costs! Yeah, even when its on sale, the price tag is off-putting. The FDAs can be quite a mixed bag of quality, but £2.99 aint bad for an hour long download, so I bought the 5 I was missing from Series 3. Hopefully next year, they'll have season 4 on sale if the pattern holds true.

I'm turning into a completist and bought the series 2 and 3 bundles. Not a bad deal. 15 audios for $38.

My personal favorites from this sale:
Series 1 - The Renaissance Man, Wrath of the Iceni
Series 2 - The Auntie Matter, The Justice of Jalxar, Phantoms of the Deep
Series 3 - The King of Sontar, The Crooked Man, Last of the Colophon, The Abandoned
The Lost Stories boxed set is fantastic. PHP is good even if it is pricey. The novel adaptations are solidly enjoyable, too.

I picked up series 3. I don't know when I'll get to listen since I recently picked up a bunch of Companion Chronicles.

I used this sale to complete my series 1-3 collection of the Fourth Doctor Adventures. Great price per release.
I'm still passing on the Philip Hinchcliffe presents Vol. 1, for now.
