I think I would rather the new series elements would pop up in the main range. I wasn't particularly impressed with Volume one, I wish it had involved companions.

If they announced the first monster for the release sooner, I might have pre-ordered the set when it was at £20. Racnoss is a great choice; so much they can do there.

This is an interesting choice, it has me intrigued. It does make me wonder what they have decided to use for the rest of the set.

6 with Clockwork Droids
7 with Vastsa Narada
Though in the Vol 1 Extras its mentioned that 2 Doctors will face the same Monster in their stories.

Personally, I think 6 and 7 with Clockwork Droids and 8 with the Vashta Nerada would be great.

IIRC, they said none of the monsters from volume 1 would be returning, so that counts out a Weeping Angel appearance in volume 2.
To echo a reply from above, as much as I liked the first boxset, it'd be more fun to have these monsters appear in the MR or 4DAs, where companions can appear against them. Also, to me, having these boxsets still makes it seem like having New Who monsters appearing as a special event, which gives a sense of a divide between Classic and New Who still. It'd be fun and feel more of a natural crossover if they randomly showed up in MR releases. Just my opinion, of course.
To actually comment on the news, I'm excited that the Racnoss is making an appearance. They're a New Who monster that has plenty of potential, so it'll be interesting to see what they do with it.

They had me at Classic, please no Slitheen i loathe them & make Doctor Who quite juvenile, i agree with Mark687 the Clockwork Droids & Vastsa Narada would be a great addition.

Well it wouldnt have to be the Slitheen per se. It could be any family from the Raxacalablahblah race. They did it pretty well in the Ninth Doctor Comics series

All this Slitheen hate but did any of you watch the Sarah Jane Adventures where the Slitheen were freaking terrifying and frequently killed children for their skin? If we get those Slitheen then bring it on.

The Ood are a definite possibility. Given their telepathic abilities it would not be much of a stretch if they erased The Doctor's memories.

If we get those Slitheen then bring it on. They worked well on the Sarah Jane Adventures but audio is a different thing altogether. There's no way you could have the Slitheen on audio without the farting - and that would just be awful to listen to.
