Yes, in the episode where our Quentin recognises the drawing of Rose Cottage there are scenes where Rose Cotage is still standing, but the dialogue implies that it is actually the dollhouse and presumably the still-standing Rose Cottage is a dream or an illusion... I've only watched these episodes once, so maybe this complex matter was overly ambitious for me to try to summarise! But I was keen not to leave out this era of the show

1995 (the then future of when the episodes broadcast in 1970) Carolyn tells Barnabas and Julia how Rose Cottage was destroyed. This was done in 1970 by the ghost of Gerard Styles who was jealous of the resurrected Daphne and burned the dollhouse, which caused the real house to burn, kind of like voodoo. It's assumed that Rose Cottage's destruction was altered when Barnabas and Julia changed 1840. In Return to Collinwood, the non-Big Finish audio that Big Finish seems to draw on, Angelique ends up with Rose Cottage as her house. The audios should do something with Rose Cottage. Maybe that could be where Hallie ends up living. Portrait of Angelique Stokes Collins 1970 Parallel Time While searching for Megan Todd, Barnabas discovers a parallel time, sometimes visible in a suite of rooms in the upstairs east wing of Collinwood. The portrait depicts Angelique Stokes Collins, the first wife to Quentin Collins (parallel time counterpart not connected to either 1840 or 1897 Quentin Collins). Early on, David and Amy try to pull a prank on Maggie Evans Collins, only to realize that the portrait itself hums lullabies. The portrait is believed to have been burned in 1970. Attachments:

Stairway into Time (diagrams). Designed and constructed by Quentin Collins I in 1840, based on his novel model of time. Julia discovers the designs for the Stairway surviving among papers at Collinwood in 1970 (1085). The Stairway into Time returns Barnabas and Julia from the year 1995 to 1970 (1070), transports Julia (1110) and later Prof. Stokes (1177) back to the year 1840, and eventually returns the three of them to 1970 (1198). The Stairway into Time or another like it* also makes appearances in, or is referenced in, a number of Big Finish Dark Shadows audios, including The Path of Fate, Curtain Call, and The Harvest of Souls. *(In episode 1198, Desmond Collins is seen beginning the task assigned him by Quentin of dismantling the Stairway used by Barnabas, Julia and Stokes).

The key to the locked room in Collinwood's basementWhen Victoria Winters was hired to be the governess of David Collins, a number of mysterious events were centred on a locked room in Collinwood's basement. Victoria sought the key to the room, and her employer, Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, said that she thought the key was lost. Elizabeth deflected every question from every person about the room. When Jason McGuire tried to blackmail Liz into marrying him, and hence gaining control of the Collins family fortune, she considered suicide and almost married him, but instead decided she would reveal the secret of the locked room: that she had murdered her husband, Paul Stoddard, and that his body was buried in the floor of the room behind the locked door. She lead her family and friends to the room and unlocked the door to the room, but what was inside was not what she expected.

The Mask of Baal. The warlock Judah Zachary boasted that the mask gave him great supernatural powers, and that he received it as a gift from the Devil himself (1131). Taking clues from the last words of Otis Greene - "The noose, a ring of gold, the stairs, top of the hill, direct line, an unmarked stone" (1124) - Desmond Collins works out the resting place of the body of Judah. The coffin within a secret chamber is adorned with an enormous crucifix (to help keep the headless body from wandering), and contains a jeweled mask (1125). Desmond enlists the help of Tim Braithwaite to remove the objects from the burial chamber. While Desmond is away making further arrangements to move the body, Tim is left alone with the mask which he aspires to steal, but Desmond returns to find him dead (1126-1127). Leticia Faye and Julia fall under the influence of Judah. Leticia has a dream about the mask and declares that they will both die unless the mask is recovered. Julia and Leticia, now under Judah's influence, deduce that the mask is in Desmond's possession. Leticia searches Desmond's things and finds the mask, but is discovered by Gerard Stiles (1134/1135), who attempts to follow her but eventually loses the trail. Leticia returns to the burial chamber and gives the mask to Julia who, with its assistance, attempts to resuscitate the body of Judah Zachary (1136). Gerard discovers materials that Desmond had gathered, including a newspaper clipping, and learns from them of the history of the mask and of its location. After watching Leticia leave the burial chamber, Gerard plans to steal the mask (1137). Gerard eventually returns to Rose Cottage with the jeweled mask. After causing Gerard strange dreams, the mask (with further aid from Charles Dawson) assists in Gerard's possession by the spirit of Judah (1141-1142).

Burke Devlin's portrait (unfinished)
As part of reviving his friendship with Sam Evans, Burke Devlin commissioned Sam to paint his portrait. Sam worked on a number sketches and even initial rough canvases, but Sam was also under pressure from Burke to reveal what he knew about the car crash for which Burke was imprisoned, and the whereabouts of the missing Bill Malloy, who was willing to testify on Burke's behalf that Roger Collins had been driving the car. Sam damaged and destroyed his initial work on the portrait. However, Maggie Evans found a pencil sketch from her father's preparation for the portrait in the isolated cabin of Fin Develin. Appearances: commissioned in episode 22, and abandoned in episode 49 (not sure the actual abandonment of the commission is shown), The pencil sketch is found in And Red All Over.

Letter from 1897 to 1969. Having travelled back to the year 1897 with the aid of the I Ching wands, Barnabas' quest to find answers in the past now leads him back to the present, to seek more answers there from the ghost of Beth Chavez (834). Barnabas attempts to return to 1969 but is interrupted during his attempt to enter the I Ching trace by Edward Collins, who has come there to kill him, armed with silver bullets (834-835). Edward proves reluctant to kill a Collins in cold blood and instead locks Barbabas in the cellar of the Old House to await his end with the coming daylight, only hours away. Trapped in the cellar without a coffin (Edward having in advance blocked all of the secret passages leading to the cellar), Barnabas notices the desk that will someday be moved upstairs by Willie Loomis in 1967 when the Old House is being restored. He writes a letter to Julia Hoffman explaining his dire predicament and places it a compartment of the desk in a desperate hope that she may someday find it (835). "My dear Julia, I am writing this letter on the 5th day of September in the year 1897. I am locked in a cell in the basement of the Old House. In another eight hours, I will die. It is my fervent hope that this letter will somehow survive time and be brought to your attention in the year 1969, in order that you may know why my mission to the past was a failure. I learned only during the past 24 hours that on September the 10th next, Quentin Collins will die..."In 1969, Amy Jennings is playing in the Old House and accidentally presses the button to open the secret compartment of the desk, revealing the letter which she reluctantly gives to Julia. Learning of the peril Barnabas is in, Julia finds the needed answers and aspires to travel back in time to 1897 to help him, with her determination to do so being further strengthened by terrible events at Collinwood in the present (835-836). When Julia arrives on the doorstep of Collinwood in 1897, she is badly disoriented from her journey through time and at first not even able to speak. When her pockets are checked for some clue to her identity, the letter is discovered. Quentin is not only amazed at the letter's contents, but at the apparent age of the letter, dated that very same day of Sept 5, 1897 (837).

The Blue Whale jukeboxOne of the legends of Collinsport is that, no matter which buttons you press, the jukebox in the Blue Whale always plays the same record. The bartender, Bob "Punchy" Rooney, resisted all attempts to change the selections available on the jukebox. Later, Bob's nephew, Jonah, Started working at the Blue Whale and discovered that not all the record play combinations had a corresponding record (only as many records as listed were included on the selection list). He added a number of records of his own choosing that he would play for himself (and anyone else he invited to stay behind) outside of the Blue Whale's trading hours. After Bob Rooney was killed, new bartender Ed Griffin either sought to recapture his youth by not updating the records, or perhaps he was just too stingy.

Parallel Time Coin A coin discovered by Jonah Rooney of a Parallel Time. After realising it allowed him to travel between Time Bands, he used the coin to facilitate his revenge. Fixating on each Time Band's version of Carolyn Stoddard, he eventually reached the main Time Band. Jonah was almost successful in this Time Band, but Carolyn destroyed the coin, and thus his anchor to the main Time Band. Jonah was also able to use the coin to mentally manipulate others. He used it to subdue his main Time Band counterpart, provoke negative emotions toward Carolyn from her friends and get the people at the Blue Whale to vacate the premises. He could also sense its location, suggesting a mental link.

We've died and gone to a heaven that resembles the Blue Whale! Quentin once went to a Hell resembling the diner at the Collinsport Inn. Hell is endless donuts washed dwn with over-brewed coffee, and Heaven is drining to excess to be able to ignore repetitive music? Works for me!

Quentin once went to a Hell resembling the diner at the Collinsport Inn. Hell is endless donuts washed dwn with over-brewed coffee, and Heaven is drining to excess to be able to ignore repetitive music? Works for me! And pie, you can't forget pie. Purgatory is spending eternity with Noah Gifford, Eric Lang and Harry Johnson. Just the first one would be enough to convince me to agree to anything the Dark Lord would offer.

Which reminds me, where exactly does Maggie get the coffee from? I don't recall ever hearing them discuss ordering shipments of beans or anything, or keeping the food supplies stocked. I kind of want to write a story about that now... maybe form the POV of the delivery guy who brings in the supplies as he observes the town over the years.

On that note, I hope you forgive me for making some stuff up a little. The Coffee of Collinsport Atop a striking cliff on the island of Martinique there sits an old house with a sordid past. Once owned in the 1600s by Jacques Eloi des Mondes, rumored to be the infamous pirate "Richard the Red-Hand" by another name, it was purchased for his wife, native to the island, but fell into disuse after her untimely passing. It was then converted into a sugar plantation in the late 1700s, but local politics and a slave uprising saw the end of that as well. Eventually the deed found its way into the hands of the Collinses of Collinsport, who have old family connections to the West French Indies, and what once was a bustling cane field found harty life again under the roots of one of Martiniuque's famous Arabica coffee groves, which supply beans to the Carribean and beyond. In fact, it is this Collins-owned grove in particular that supplies the coffee to Collinsport's own Inn and Blue Whale Tavern, delivered twice monthly since 1885. *I've grabbed snippets from Strange Paradise, the radio play "To Die is Forever" (which was adapted from Strange Paradise), more-than-just-bits from the Dark Shadows novel Angelique's Descent, and blended in some of the history of the Blue Mountain coffee company.

Maggie's Mother's Portrait.* Sam Evan's portrait of his wife. Burke Devlin pays a visit to the Evan's cottage, hoping to speak to Sam, who is away. While talking with Maggie, Burke notices the portrait and pays a complement to Maggie's mother's beauty (22). *(Does anyone know if Maggie's mother has ever been given a first name by an official Dark Shadows story? I still haven't been able to find one or think of one so far). (Coffee facts for episode 22. The Dark Shadows Wiki claims that in the first scene of episode 22 where Maggie is drinking coffee and reading the newspaper, that when she stands to answer the door, the audience can see her cup is actually empty. They count it as a blooper but perhaps it's simply time for Maggie to pour herself a refill. The first thing Burke says when Maggie answers the door is "May I borrow a cup of sugar, lady?" - presumably the sugar is for his coffee, since he soon asks Maggie, "Hey, is that good coffee I smell?")

The lion's head architectural decoration in the Collins family mausoleumHigh up on the back wall of the Collins family mausoleum in Eagle Hill Cemetery, above the memorial plaque for Naomi Collins, is a decoration in the form of a lion's head with a ring held in its mouth. This decoration is part of the original construction of the mausoleum, and pulling on the ring in the lion's mouth opens the panel bearing Naomi's plaque - it is the doorway to a secret room. This room was built into the mausoleum as a secret hiding place for guns and ammunition during the American Revolution, and its existence was never widely known. It came to another use, however, after Barnabas Collins was cursed to become a vampire by his wife, the witch Angelique, doomed to destroy those who loved him. Barnabas' father, Joshua Collins, came up with a plan to imprison his cursed son in the secret room and prevent him from causing any more death. With Barnabas' agreement and the assistance of Ben Stokes, the vampire was chained in his coffin and sealed in the secret room for all time, The purpose of the lion's head decoration would be forgotten for all time. Or so it was thought...

Moon Poppy. Sabrina presents Chris with a parcel, containing a Moon Poppy, in hopes of Chris using it to lift his curse. Chris considers this merely a superstitious old legend, but Sabrina insists she's read a recent study on lycanthropy in an a scientific journal, published in England, which mentions the poppy's curative properties for those afflicted with the werewolf curse. The parcel is from the author of the study, and is the last of its kind that the parcel's sender is aware of (934). Chris must eat the flower when it blooms and while the moon is shining, for the flower will perish at dawn (934). Unfortunately, precisely as Barnabas has warned Chris, werewolves do not often gain great reputations for following instructions (935).
