That was a poor season of The Walking Dead. It was so dragged out Season 7 only came to life for the mid-season and season finales. Apart from that, very little happened. It's badly paced and the characters are all over the place. The Walking Dead has gone boring, I'm not sure if I'll be back in October for Season 8. I agree, i thought the season finale was possibly the weakest finale to date, badly edited battle & as you say pacing all over the place, I'll stick with it as I'm confident the show can return to form it just needs i think get rid of the dead wood characters & have a more screen time for the main cast. I'll be viewing Season 8 as well. I do prefer Seasons 3-6 (and probably Season 1) over Season 7. I can understand why some people have lost interest in The Walking Dead TV series over its extended haul. It is a commitment to watch anything more than 3 years. A lot of people that I come across gave up watching TWD a long time before Season 7. I'm actually looking more forward to Season 3 of Fear the Walking Dead, because it isn't restricted by a corresponding comic book. Its future storyline events are always unknown. The other side of the coin, of course, was that its *beginning* wasn't strengthened by the previous ideas of a well crafted book series. Regardless, FTWD is marginally getting better as it goes on...NOT worse!

Is the (1 writer / 166 issues) TWD comic book still fresh and exciting? No! That's fairly dull at times too.
