Pre-ordered! I'm really looking forward to this one.
I always liked the TV series but I think the audio incarnation has surpassed it and it's one of my favourite ongoing releases. Consistently intriguing, funny and thought-provoking. Every performance shines and all the characters feel like they're given a chance to slow down and expand upon their roles. Top stuff.

I enjoyed that accessible proper 24 thriller style with humour, Humanity and a touch of OTT camp, in short solid gold Torchwood.

Well that was great! Good proper Torchwood! Damn 2009 was a shit year for them wasn't it hahaha. Norton continues to be a great character, and it's interesting to see how his character has evolved since first showing up. While there's no Committee ties, we obviously get more Norton, and this is after Ghost Mission for him. It'll be interesting to see if Before the Fall has any ties to the ongoing narrative. But yeah! This was great! Wasn't expecting the drop at the end, and Rhys was bloody brilliant, and my god this was just good good Torchwood. The interviews at the end are pretty great too

Very enjoyable. Honestly love our ghostly friend.
If Scott sees this, he should suggest that the extras across all ranges be done like this - it was one of the more interesting extras that we've seen in a long time.

If Scott sees this, he should suggest that the extras across all ranges be done like this - it was one of the more interesting extras that we've seen in a long time. I think it's personal preference. I always try to record roundtable discussions to keep the interaction up, and edited Torchwood Tapes myself because I wanted that same energy... but it does eat up a lot of additional time, so who knows?

Started listening to this in the car this morning - possibly not the best idea . It's great so far but one question, did someone actually trash the city for the brilliant sound effects? Cheers Tony

Man, I love this story. Real, proper Torchwood. There were some real catch my breath moments in this. I even loved The Torchwood Years. Although I like The Torchwood Archive, I fell like this release is the real 10 year celebration. It has everything that Torchwood does really well. The ending was terrific. Thanks @scotthandcock and all involved for a wonderful, tense, scary, exciting listen.

Can I just say... Norton is such a perfect chatacter that I forgot he wasn't in the TV show. This is such an accurate sentiment. Like Toby in Counter-Measures, you can't quite imagine how you got through things without him.

I am continually amazed with how stellar Torchwood has been on audio. Outbreak is no exception. It sets out to capture everything that made Children of Earth so gripping and outstanding and, better yet, it absolutely succeeds!
